Race 1: Light Horse Brigade TROBIS Handicap C2 – 1300m
PHYSICAL GRAFFITI (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly and veered inwards at the start. Raced keenly in the early stages until taken outwards passing the 700m. When the rider drew the whip near the 250m the gelding lay inwards and he changed the whip through to his left hand passing the 200m. When questioned, rider was of the opinion that his mount did not finish the race off due to the heavy weight imposed.
VETIVER (S Logan) – Stood flat-footed at the start, losing several lengths and the rider reported her mount was off the bit throughout running finishing well back. Trainer T Halter was advised that the gelding must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again.

BETTER SUN (S Logan) – Rider reported the gelding lay outwards rounding the first turn.

TUGELA FALLS (P Shiers) – Bumped at the start.

ESSKAY (A Sweeney) – The gelding returned from the race with an injury to the near fore tendon. Trainer G Clarke was advised that he must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.
