Race 1: Sitzler TROBIS Handicap BM54 – 1300m

Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

AMERICAN JAZZ (J Todd) – Bumped at the start.

SABOR (V Arnott) – Bumped at the start. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

RIBTICKLER (A Nicholls) – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

SUPER DEFENSE (S Logan) – Stewards accepted jockey R Vigar’s explanation for being unable to make the allotted weight and he was replaced as the rider of the gelding by jockey S Logan.

WILD PROMENADE (H Le Blanc) – Raced wide throughout.

Race 2: ROANT TROBIS Handicap BM54 – 1300m

Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

BOLLON (J Todd) – Veered inwards shortly after the start.

WHITTEN (E Molloy) – Slow to muster early speed.

TYQUENDO (S Logan) – The veterinarian reported the gelding sustained an injury to the off fore frog and returned with blood in the mouth from a laceration. Trainer T Halter was advised that she must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.

Race 3: Mindil Beach Casino Resort Handicap C2 – 1200m

PHYSICAL GRAFFITI (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly and veered inwards at the start.

BEATIFICATION (S Logan) – Impeded passing the 650m. The veterinarian reported the gelding returned with abrasions to both hind bumpers.

ROYAL SIGNAL (V Arnott) – Returned with a laceration to the near hind pastern.

VETIVER (P Shiers) – Slow into stride.

Following this race jockey A Nicholls was dehydrated and after being examined by the Paramedics he was declared unfit to fulfil his remaining engagements and the Stewards approved the following replacements:

Race 4: Silks Darwin Cup Packages On Sale Now Handicap – 1200m

Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

STAR MAGNUM (W Davis) – Yielded ground from 500m. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off hind leg. Trainer P Cole was advised that he must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.

SIAKAM (S Logan) – Reared prior to the start and commenced awkwardly. Rider advised that her right foot became displaced from the stirrup iron at the start but she had regained use of the stirrup shortly after.

PINK PANTHER (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly and veered inwards at the start. Lay outwards through the middle stages. Held up for clear running from the 450m to the 350m when racing inside the heels of a tiring runner. Cast the near hind plate in running.

MR CASHMAN (A Sweeney) – The veterinarian reported that the gelding was tying up following the race and required treatment.

BON’S YOUR BACK (H Le Blanc) – Slow into stride. Lay outwards in running and as a result had to be restrained from heels leaving the 650m. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

Race 5: Ladbrokes Odds Surge Handicap 0-58 – 1000m

FIELD OF PRAISE (J Todd) – Raced wide throughout.

HEY LITTLE SISTER (S Logan) – Commenced awkwardly.

1ST EXCEEDINGLY MAGIC 2ND MIAMI VICE 3RD THE STIFMEISTER

 

Race 6: Sean Bryan Memorial 0-70 – 1600m

Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

GLOBAL WONDER (W Davis) – Bumped at the start.

DESERT MIST (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly. Steadied outwards from behind the heels of a tiring runner leaving the 600m and again impeded from heels near the 400m.

MAGNETIC TYCOON (A Sweeney) – Raced wide from the 500m.

JENADAR (E Molloy) – Rider reported her mount mistrode and became unbalanced near the 800m and again strode awkwardly for consecutive strides passing the 600m and yielded ground from thereon. Trainer P Cole’s representative advised that the gelding recovered well following the race and they were of the view that the gelding may of got it’s tongue back in running and therefore intend to include a tongue tie or tongue control bit at the next race start.

WORLD AFFAIRS (P Shiers) – Slow into stride and bumped at the start. Steadied outwards passing the 450m.
