Trainer G Connor was interviewed in regards to the instructions he intended to issue his riders bearing in mind he had multiple runners in this event.
SWEET AS SCANDI declared a late scratching at 11:01am by order of the Stewards after refusing to load. Trainer K Lamprecht was advised that the mare must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to again racing.
REVOLUTION RISING (L Maloney) – Inclined to lay inwards under pressure from the 200m.
JUST FOR MARCUS (R Vigar) – Resaddled on arriving at the barriers.
ANOTHER VAL (A Sweeney) – Held up for clear running from the 200m to the 100m.
CHUCKAMICKY (S Logan) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
NASHA (W Davis) – Raced wide entering the home straight.
RED HAWK (J Lyon) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and raced wide throughout.
VITESSE BREEZE (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly and raced wide in the early stages.

Race 2: Chansey Paech MLA for Gwoja Handicap 0-62 - 1000m
SNOW ON HER declared a late scratching at 11:25am by order of the Stewards after becoming very cantankerous and refusing to leave the mounting yard. Trainer D Leech was advised that prior to the mare again starting in a race, it must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards with the emphases being on its behaviour in the mounting yard. Trainer further advised that the mare will now be retired from racing.
NOBLE MAGNATE (J Hampson) – Lay outwards under pressure final 100m.
CHIEF WHITE SOCK (R Vigar) – Veered outwards on jumping bumping with another runner and raced wide throughout.
PROPHESIER (B Newport) – Commenced awkwardly getting its head up and bumping with another runner and then commenced to race ungenerously down the back straight whilst racing wide.
GOVERNOR (J Lyon) –Commenced awkwardly.

Race 3: CKS Electrical 3 & 4YO Handicap BM68 - 1600m
BETTER NOT FUSS (R Vigar) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
TANNENBURG (J Todd) – Fractious in the barriers before commencing awkwardly and losing ground. When questioned regarding the unplaced performance, rider advised that after missing the start the gelding raced further back than anticipated and when pressured in the straight, had a tendency to lay inwards and failed to finish off the race as anticipated. A subsequent veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.
THE MEN WENT HOME (P Denton) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and steadied off heels approaching the 400m.
FRANKFURT (A Sweeney) – Commenced awkwardly.
DEPENDENCY (L Maloney) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and raced wide into the home straight.
THE ACCELATOR (W Davis) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

Race 4: Imparja Television Handicap 0-66 1600m
Trainer K Healy was interviewed in regards to the instructions he intended to issue his riders bearing in mind he had multiple runners in this event.
EQUAL BALANCE (J Hampson) – Tightened for room approaching the first turn and raced wide throughout thereafter.
DANIHER (B Newport) – Commenced awkwardly momentarily unbalancing its rider and steadied into the first turn. After hitting its head in the barriers, a post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed a small laceration to the right nostril otherwise was clear of any injuries.
MURRAJONG ROAD (R Vigar) – Bumped and tightened shortly after the start. Commenced to shift outwards under pressure from the 300m.
GRINZINGER BISHOP (S Logan) – Tightened for room into the first turn having to steady.
PRINCESS PANCAKES (P Denton) – Eased off heels into the first turn. Carried outwards by another runner at the 900m.
TAIPAN TOMMY (L Maloney) – Shifted outwards at the 900m.
HOLLERBYEBABY (D Hirini) – Raced wide throughout and carried outwards by another runner at the 900m.
ALL FROSTED (M Philpot) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Began to yield ground from the 500m finishing well back. Trainer R Viney advised that the mare would now be retired from racing.
General: On inquiry it was established that approaching the 1200m turn, HOLLERBYEBABY (D Hirini) shifted inwards marginally resulting in both EQUAL BALANCE (J Hampson) and GRINZINGER BISHOP (S Logan) making contact and having to steady their mounts when already racing in restricted room.

Race 5: Alice Springs Realty Handicap BM54 - 1400m
Trainer K Petrick was interviewed in regards to the instructions she intended to issue his riders bearing in mind he had multiple runners in this event.
THE FINAL WORD (D Hirini) – Inclined to lay inwards under pressure from the 200m.
DR VENKMAN (R Vigar) – Commenced awkwardly.
MR JONES (J Hampson) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
DIP ME LID (L Maloney) – Raced wide throughout and was under pressure from the 650m to maintain its position.
BARANI (J Todd) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
CAPISTAN (J Lyon) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
REAL DIVINE (P Denton) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Steadied off heels at the finishing post.
BEEP TEST (M Philpot) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner.

Race 6: PFD Food Services Handicap BM76 – 1400m
Trainer T Gillett was interviewed in regards to the instructions he intended to issue his riders bearing in mind he had multiple runners in this event.
THAT’S JUSTIFIED (W Davis) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Was found to have bled from both nostrils on returning to the day stalls. Trainer T Gillett was advised that acting under the provisions of AR79(4), the gelding was banned from racing for a period of 3 months. T Gillett advised that the gelding will now be retired from racing.
VINNIE’S SPIRIT (S Tsaikos) – Slow into stride bumping with another runner.
BEAU FACTOR (D Gillett) – Reared on jumping.
GREAT GUST (P Denton) – Steadied outwards off heels at the 600m to obtain clear running.
MATHEMATICS (J Lyon) – Commenced awkwardly.

Trainer T Gillett was interviewed in regards to the instructions he intended to issue his riders bearing in mind he had multiple runners in this event.
DAKOTA LEE (S Tsaikos) – Raced wide throughout and shifted outwards under pressure over the last 100m.
GREAT BUY (R Vigar) – Carried inwards by another runner at the 200m bumping with that runner.
SUPREME ATTRACTION (P Denton) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
EARLY CROW (D Hirini) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and again at the 200m.
LUMBER PUNK (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly and steadied off heels approaching the 600m and again passing the 400m.
DELAGO LAD (J Lyon) – Commenced awkwardly.
POMPEII EMPIRE (A Sweeney) – Shifted inwards under pressure at the 200m.

Post-race samples were taken from all winners and FLYING YISHU, DELAGO LAD (race 7).
Pre-race samples were taken from: GREAT GUST, MURRAJONG ROAD, DEPENDENCY, IMPULSIVITY, BOY BIG and all runners engaged in race 7.
All riders were breath tested for the presence of alcohol.

Race 2 - Apprentice Jockey J Hampson, was reprimanded for a whip breach, AR132(7)(a)(ii).

Race 3 - Apprentice Jockey L Maloney, was fined $100 for failing to utilize his full claim, NT77.
Race 7 - Trainer T Gillett, was fined $500 for presenting his runners with the incorrect saddles, AR106.
