Race 1: Ladies Day March 22 Open Handicap 3-Y-O - 1200m

FORGETABOUTIT (S Tsaikos) – Raced wide throughout.

SNEAKY FREDDY (D Gillett) – Steadied off heels shortly after jumping and lay in under pressure final 200m.

BOOM SMASH OPERA (H Le Blanc) – Commenced slow into stride and steadied off heels at the 600m when racing forward.

GRINZINGER LASS (B Newport) – Began awkwardly and inclined to race erratic thereafter shifting outwards.

Race 2: Ladbrokes Red Centre Luncheon 4 April Handicap 0-76 – 1000m

Stewards interviewed trainer T Gillett in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue his riders bearing in mind he had multiple runners in this event.

BRAT (S Tsaikos) – Shifted inwards passing the 200m.

DELAGO LAD (L Maloney) – Commenced awkwardly. After a disappointing performance, a veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities. When questioned on its performance, trainer G Connor advised that he would be sending the gelding out for a freshen up before again starting in a race.

LITTLE TOWN BLUES (B Newport) – Began awkwardly shifting outwards abruptly and then raced wide throughout.

HURN COURT (S Logan) – Shifted outwards off heels approaching the 100m to obtain clear running.

 

General: Prior to correct weight being given, Jockey S Logan requested to view the Stewards patrol footage over the final 150m. After viewing the footage, S Logan the rider of the 4th placegetter (HURN COURT) lodged a protest against the 2nd placegetter BRAT (S Tsaikos) alleging interference approaching the 100m. After again viewing the patrol footage in the presence of trainer T Gillett, S Logan sought permission to withdraw her protest. As evidence had not yet been taken from T Gillett, or S Tsaikos, Stewards dismissed the protest.

Race 3: DJ Bingil In The Marquee Cup Day Handicap BM54 - 1000m

ANOTHER VAL (H Le Blanc) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

REVOLUTION RISING (P Denton) – Shifted outwards approaching the 600m.

RED HAWK (D Gillett) – Inconvenienced for room between runners approaching the 600m.

CALIPARI (B Newport) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

FAMILY TIES (S Tsaikos) – Knuckled on jumping bumping with another runner.

REALTIN (S Logan) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

HELLO CAROL (L Maloney) – Began awkwardly bumping with another runner. Shifted in under pressure close to the finish.

MUSELET (R Vigar) – Shifted outwards approaching the 600m.

SUPER SHARP (S Logan) – After a disappointing performance, a post-race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.

LETHAL ENCOUNTER (H Le Blanc) – Stood flat-footed as the gates opened losing some ground.

SHEER REWARD (D Gillett) – Held up for clear running from the 300m to the 150m,

PRANCINGINTHERAIN (L Maloney) – Raced wide throughout.

Race 5: Ladbrokes Alice Springs Cup 6 April Handicap 0-64 - 1400m

BLACK ZOUS (P Denton) – Inclined to over-race in the early and middle stages of the event and lay in under pressure over the final stages of the event.

ALTAR BOY (S Tsaikos) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

VOLDEMORT (B Newport) – Began awkwardly bumping with another runner.

KILLZY (D Gillett) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and raced wide throughout. After pulling up quickly, rider reported that the gelding did not feel right in its action when pulling up. A post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.

Race 6: Congratulations Sonja Logan 500 Winners Handicap BMNT - 1600m

HASSELTOFF (H Le Blanc) – Cast its off hind plate in running.

VENTING (P Denton) – Inclined to over-race in the early stages.

TINTERN POWER (S Tsaikos) – Over-raced into the first turn getting its head up.
