Race 1: Darwin Cup Carnival Tickets On Sale TROBIS Maiden Plate SW – 1200m
Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.
KING WALDO (A Nicholls) – Bumped at the start.
TUGELA FALLS (P Shiers) – Bumped at the start. Following the unplaced performance a post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
MANSURA (S Logan) – Bumped at the start.
MERCHANT DELIGHT (W Davis) – Lay inwards through the middle stages despite the efforts of the rider. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
VANGUARD LEGEND (R Vigar) – Crowded and eased near the 650m.
BRISKET (J Todd) – Cantankerous in the saddling enclosure. After being fractious in the barriers, the mare reared and after undergoing a veterinary examination was cleared to compete.

Race 2: Sportsbet Handicap BMNT – 1200m
CONCLAVE PRINCE (H Le Blanc) – Bumped at the start. The gelding pulled up shortly after the finish line and the rider dismounted. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had suffered a near fore tendon injury.
FORMS OF FEAR (R Vigar) – Bumped at the start.

Race 3: Ladbrokes Summer Sprint Series (Heat 6) Handicap BM54 – 1000m
Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.
PHYSICAL GRAFFITI (J Todd) – When questioned regarding the performance, rider advised that his mount resented the kickback in the early and middle stages and despite racing greenly in the straight when tested with the whip, the mare finished the race off strongly.
EXCEEDINGLY MAGIC (H Le Blanc) – Raced wide throughout.
VALAROC (A Nicholls) – Rider reported his mount failed to settle when over racing through the early and middle stages.
CHERRY STEM (V Arnott) – Bumped at the start.
HEY LITTLE SISTER (S Tsaikos) – Rider reported his saddle shifted rounding the home turn.

TARAASHOQ (S Tsaikos) – Raced wide in the early and middle stages and commenced to yield going on straightening.

Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.
BRYCE (H Le Blanc) – Jumped awkwardly and veered outwards. Raced wide throughout.
TOO MUCH CLASS (W Davis) – Raced wide throughout.
General – On inquiry it was established that when tested with the whip near the 250m, HOTIM ENGLISH (A Sweeney) shifted inwards abruptly and bumped with and unbalanced QUEEN IN THE NORTH (S Logan). Whilst continuing to be ridden along, both runners raced tightly and brushed on multiple occasions until near the 100m.

General:
Post-race swab samples taken from all winners.
Pre-race samples were taken from: VANGUARD LEGEND, TUGELA FALLS, BRISKET, SACCHARO, PHYSICAL GRAFFITI & DESERT MIST.

Race 2 – Jockey R Vigar, was reprimanded for a whip breach, AR132(7)(a)(ii).
Race 5 – Jockey A Sweeney, was reprimanded for a whip breach, AR132(7)(a)(ii).

Race 1 – Jockey R Vigar, was fined $700 for a whip breach, AR132(7)(a)(ii).
Race 3 – Jockey R Vigar, was fined $300 for a whip breach, AR132(7)(a)(ii).
