Race 1: Sky Racing TROBIS Maiden Plate SW – 1300m

VETIVER (R Vigar) – Veered inwards at the start and contacted the running rail unbalancing the rider.
WILD PROMENADE (W Davis) – Returned with blood in the mouth from a dislodged tooth.

Race 2: Sportsbet Handicap BM76 – 1200m
STAR MAGNUM (H Le Blanc) – The refitting of a tongue tie to the gelding at the barriers resulted in a delay to the start time of this event.
TARAASHOQ (S Logan) – When questioned regarding the unplaced performance, rider advised that whilst the gelding was having its first start at the track her mount travelled comfortably in the early and middle stages but was under pressure and off the bit prior to straightening and yielded ground in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination diagnosed the gelding with the thumps.

Race 4: Ladbrokes Summer Sprint Series (Heat 4) Handicap 0-64 – 1100m
RIP EDITION (S Tsaikos) – Cantankerous in the saddling enclosure and when exiting this area onto the course proper contacted the gate upright and dislodged the rider. Jockey S Tsaikos was not injured when dislodged.
The gelding galloped riderless and near the 1600m breached the outside running rail into the car park. The gelding was attended to immediately by track staff and industry participants but after having sustained a fracture to the off shoulder was humanely euthanized by the veterinarian.
The start time of this race was rescheduled to 5.05pm.
All bets placed on RIP EDITION were ordered to be refunded and the following deductions were applicable to successful bets placed prior to the withdrawal of RIP EDITION from the field at 4.35pm - 0c win 6c place, 3c place

Race 5: St Patrick’s Day Races 15 March Handicap 0-58 – 1000m
The start time of the event was rescheduled to 5.40pm.
BEATIFICATION (S Logan) – Bumped at the start. Contacted the running rail and then bumped with another runner becoming unbalanced and losing ground near the 650m.
THE STIFMEISTER (W Davis) – Bumped outwards by another runner at the 650m and had to be restrained from heels.
SIBERIAN LARCH (P Shiers) – Raced wide throughout.
HEY LITTLE SISTER (S Tsaikos) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.
General – On inquiry it was established that approaching the 650m THE STIFMEISTER (W Davis) had difficulty negotiating the first turn when racing inside SHECANMIXIT (R Vigar). BEATIFICATION (S Logan) which was racing to the inside of these runners contacted the running rail and shifted out bumping with THE STIFMEISTER, which had to be restrained to avoid the heels of SHECANMIXIT. On the evidence available, Stewards were satisfied that no rider was at fault for causing this interference but jockey R Vigar was reminded to allow sufficient room for runners racing to his inside in future.
