Race 1: Top End Racing Awards 22 November TROBIS Handicap 0-58 – 1300m

AMERICAN JAZZ (J Todd) – Slow into stride. Raced wide from the 500m. When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that his mount was under pressure prior to straightening and failed to finish the race off as anticipated. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

BOOMERCONI (J Booth) – Raced wide throughout.

Race 2: BTC Constructions Handicap – 1300m

TUBTHUMPER (W D’Avila) – Lay outwards under pressure in the straight.

DEVILS DELIGHT (J Todd) – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

FULL DAMAGE (V Arnott) – A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near hind leg. Trainer C Pollard must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.

HEADLINE STORY (J Booth) – Slow into stride and then crowded for room. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

Race 5: Graham Edwards Memorial 0-70 – 1100m

CHANGE IS COMING (J Todd) – Fractious prior to the start. Bounded at the start. Raced wide throughout. When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that due to missing the start he was unable to lead but endeavoured to maintain a forward position given that his mount races competitively when on the pace. He added that although obliged to race three wide in running the gelding travelled well but did not finish the race off as anticipated. He explained that the gelding has previously been unable to finish off in its races when not able to lead unchallenged. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities and a swab sample was collected.

DISCO DONUT (S Logan) – Lay outwards through the middle stages and under pressure in the straight.

ENVENOMATE (J Booth) – Commenced awkwardly and slow to muster early speed.

Race 6: Chris Williams Handicap 0-64 – 1600m

Stewards interviewed trainer C Pollard in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

REDSNAP – Declared a late scratching at 4.12pm as the rider became indisposed due to being dehydrated and no replacement rider was available.

ANKLE ROLEX (R Vigar) – Steadied at the 900m when racing keenly. Shifted ground outwards under pressure near the 50m.

MIRACOLI (A Sweeney) – Raced wide from the 600m. Impeded near the 50m.

EXTREME EMOTION (J Todd) – When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that his mount travelled comfortably in running but was under pressure at the 600m and failed to finish the race off as anticipated.

I’M A DREAMER (P Denton) – Raced wide throughout.

CORDEN (W D’Avila) – Contacted the inside running rail near the 1500m and mistrode, unbalancing the rider.
