KING WALDO (S Tsaikos) – Hind legs scrambled at the start.
RIBTICKLER (A Nicholls) – Steadied off heels passing the 1000m.
Momentarily impeded at the 50m.
AUSSIE JAWSIE (S Mitchell) – Steadied when laying outwards at the 700m.
General – On inquiry, Jockey S Tsaikos (KING WALDO) was reprimanded for engaging in careless riding under AR131(a) in that he allowed his mount to shift inwards when insufficiency clear resulting in Jockey A Nicholls (RIBTICKLER) having to steady to avoid heels passing the 1000m.

Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.
EARLY CROW (S Logan) – Knuckled at the start and was slow into stride. Race wide throughout. When questioned regarding the gelding’s unplaced performance, rider advised the gelding had a tendency to lay outwards and her opinion did not appreciate the 62kg weight impost. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
BON’S PRIDE (V Arnott) – Slow into stride.
TUBTHUMPER (S Mitchell) – Lay outwards for the duration of the straight.

Race 3: Ladbrokes Live Betting Handicap 0-58 – 1100m
HOTIM ENGLISH (A Sweeney) – Commenced awkwardly and was slow into stride. Rider reported the gelding resented the kickback and raced greenly in the early and middle stages. Race wide throughout.
