Race 1: Trafficwerx NT TROBIS Handicap 0-58 – 1300m

YAKI ISHI (S Tsaikos) – Rider fumbled his reins when changing the whip to his right hand near the 100m.

EXTREME EMOTION (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped with another runner.

ZOU ZOU ZOEIA (I Luximon) – Rider advised his left foot was displaced from the stirrup iron when bumped at the start and he was unable to regain use of this iron until near the 900m.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

KESSLER (M Salter) – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Raced wide on straightening.

TO THE POINT (H Le Blanc) – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start.

WORLD AFFAIRS (V Arnott) – Raced keenly down the back straight.

ALFIERI (I Luximon) – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Lay inwards in the straight when tested with the whip.

ROULETTE QUEEN (S Tsaikos) – Bumped with another runner shortly after the start. Raced wide throughout.

General – On inquiry jockey I Luximon (ALFIERI) pleaded guilty to a charge under AR131(a) of engaging in careless riding. The specifics being that shortly after the start he permitted the gelding to shift inwards when inefficiently clear resulting in ROULETTE QUEEN (S Tsaikos) being carried inwards making contact with TO THE POINT (H Le Blanc) which was tightened onto, and made heavy contact with KESSLER (M Salter). I Luximon had his license to ride in races suspended for 1 NT meeting to expire after 8 September 2024.
