Stewards interviewed trainer C Pollard in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.
RED ARIC (V Arnott) – Raced wide throughout. Trainer C Pollard advised that the gelding pulled up lame in the near fore leg and therefore will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.
AWEN (S Logan) – Knuckled at the start.
SWEET AS SCANDI (I Luximon) – Commenced awkwardly.
STRETFORD END (J Hampson) – Slow into stride.

STAR MAGNUM (E Lines) – Fractious in the barriers and lunged forward contacting the front gates. Commenced awkwardly and knuckled at the start.

Race 4: TRNT Off The Track TROBIS Maiden Plate – 1100m
Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.
CALL IT A LOAN (C Hunter) – Bumped on the hindquarters at the start. Raced wide throughout.
FULL DAMAGE (P Crich) – Underwent a veterinary inspection when blood was visible in the left nostril in the race day stalls. The veterinarian reported the blood was the result of the displacement of a scab from a previous minor laceration in the nostril. A further examination behind the barriers cleared the gelding to compete. Following the unplaced performance a post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. When questioned rider advised that he rode his mount vigorously in the early stages as instructed, but when crossed by other runners passing the 900m the gelding resented the kickback. He explained his mount lost momentum and dropped the bit finishing well back. Trainer C Pollard was advised that the gelding must barrier trail to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again.
VETIVER (A Sweeney) – Bumped and crowded between runners at the start.
FLYING BARTY (I Luximon) – Bumped and carried outwards at the start.
IBEGOOD (J Hampson) – Veered outwards and bumped at the start.

Race 5: TAB 0-64 Handicap – 1100m
PATRIOTIC KING (J Todd) – Returned with a laceration to the near hind heel.
OVERRULED (P Crich) – Returned having bled from both nostrils. As this was the second occasion, trainer C Pollard was advised that in accordance with AR79(6) the gelding is now ineligible to start in a race.
MAGNETIC TYCOON (I Luximon) – Slow to muster early speed.
STARS THE LIMIT (C Hunter) – Commenced awkwardly and then reared losing considerable ground.
