General: Stewards opened an inquiry involving TRNT licenced stable-hand and owner of ZOUSTORM (R5) Miss Sara Holland in regards to her conduct in the Stewards room prior to race 5 in which the gelding was engaged.
Ms Holland was subsequently found guilty of a charge of improper conduct under AR228(b).
The specifics of the charge being that she entered into the Stewards room prior to race 5 without permission, and began to voice her anger at the timing of the pre-race sample taken from ZOUSTORM, and when leaving the Stewards room, she aimed improper comments to the Chief Steward.
Miss Holland was fined the sum of $500.
Stewards were also satisfied that the time of the swab taken of ZOUSTORM, is consistent to other pre-race samples taken at today’s meeting and other meetings.
Miss Holland had previously been charged under this rule by SA Stewards on the 23/7/2022 in which a fine was also imposed with $500 of that fine suspended for two years on the condition that she did not breach this rule in that time.
As today’s breach of that rule is within that two year period, Stewards ordered that the suspended amount of $500 must also be reinstated.
Miss Holland was advised of her right of appeal.
