Race 1: Ladbrokes NT Derby Day July 20 Handicap 0-70 – 1300m

Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

HAMLET VON SNITZEL (A Sweeney) – The veterinarian reported the gelding required treatment for an ulcerated right eye.

INFLUENTIAL JACK (J Todd) - The veterinarian reported the gelding required treatment for an ulcerated right eye.

TOO MUCH CLASS (S Tsaikos) – Slow into stride.

SOUL SPIRIT (E Lines) – Returned with a displaced off hind plate.

MISSED VICTORY (T Doyle) – When questioned rider advised that his mount commenced to lay outwards racing into the first turn and veered across heels having to be restrained passing the 650m. The gelding raced wide from thereon and continued to lay out. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer N Dyer’s representative was advised that a warning will now be placed on the gelding’s racing manner.

Race 2: Darwin Cup We’re Turning It On! Handicap 0-58 – 1200m

ALPHA FLIGHT (A Sweeney) – Raced wide for the majority of the event.

GINGER CREEK (I Luximon) – Bumped on multiple occasions after the start.

CANADA BAY (J Todd) – Raced wide throughout.

LUCKY FORTUNA (E Lines) – Lay out through the middle stages.

WOLF QUEEN (S Logan) – Returned having bled from both nostrils. Trainer T Logan was advised of the provisions of AR79.

KARATEMISS (S Tsaikos) – Momentarily crowded near the 1100m. Returned with a laceration to the near hind pastern.

THE GIRL’S BOY (P Denton) – Bumped on multiple occasions after the start.

Race 3: ROANT Day June 29 Handicap – 1200m

NOIR DE RUE (V Arnott) – Cast the near fore plate in running.

ZIGGI ROCKS (J Hampson) – Commenced awkwardly.

General – Jockey I Luximon was fined $300 for a whip breach. After considering his poor record in relation to complying with AR132(7)(a)(ii), he was placed on notice that the Stewards will no longer be applying their discretion to issue reprimands for minor infractions and therefore any further breaches will result in firmer penalties being imposed.

Race 4: Family Day July 13 Maiden Plate SW – 1100m

Stewards interviewed trainer K Petrick in relation to the riding instructions she intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

GIFT OF GOLD (J Todd) – Bumped at the start. Rider reported that he was dazed when struck firmly in the face by a clod near the 850m and he shifted his mount wider on the track and consequently the gelding took no further competitive part in the race.

GIN RICKEY (I Luximon) – Cantered riderless for a short distance after arriving at the barriers and after undergoing a veterinary examination was cleared to compete. Proved difficult to load. Trainer P Cole was advised that a warning will now be placed on the gelding’s barrier manners.

TONIX (J Hampson) – Underwent a veterinary inspection upon arrival on course and was cleared to compete.

JIPSIE (P Denton) – Commenced awkwardly and veered inwards.

LEAN ON ME (A Sweeney) – Commenced awkwardly, unbalancing the rider. Lay inwards when tested with the whip in the straight.

General – Jockey J Todd received first aid treatment for a laceration to his nose and lip and was able to fulfil his remaining riding engagements.

Stewards also interviewed trainer G Clarke in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

IKNOWHATYOUREDOING (I Luximon) – Dwelt at the start and lost ground. Veered outwards over the concluding stages.

FABERGE TZAR (E Lines) – Raced wide throughout.

MAGNETIC TYCOON (A Sweeney) – Bounded at the start losing ground.

NASSAU COUNTY (J Todd) – Carried outwards and crowded near the 200m.

GO BARNEY GO (T Doyle) – Commenced awkwardly making heavy contact with the inside barrier gate.
