General: A Sweeney was severely reprimanded for careless riding in that he allowed his mount INTO THE FURY to shift inwards approaching the 800m when insufficiently clear of VANDERLAND causing its rider I Luximon to steady his mount off heels.

Trainer K Healy was interviewed by Stewards in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as he had multiple runners in this event.
KUMICHO (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly and inclined to race erratically into the first turn having to be restrained to avoid heels.
LIBERTY BLUE (S Logan) – Underwent a veterinary examination on arriving at the barriers after escaping from it’s handler in the day stalls and galloping around the enclosure for a short period of time. Slow into stride bumping with another runner. Mistrode approaching the 700m. Inclined to shift outwards under pressure over the concluding stages.
MATHEMATICS (C Hunter) – Commenced awkwardly losing some ground.
REAL VALENTIA (A Sweeney) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner.
MADAM MISCHIEF (J Hampson) – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.

NICODEMUS (J Todd) – Fractious in the barriers before knuckling on the jump and bumping with another runner.
FUTURE DREAMS (L Maloney) – Raced wide throughout.
REAL DIVINE (P Denton) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner and losing some ground.
FILTHY RICH (A Sweeney) – Bumped at the start and steadied off heels approaching the 1000m.

MAGNOLIA ROSE (P Denton) – When questioned about the mares disappointing performance, rider advised that the mare raced outside its normal racing pattern when unable to be up on pace and did not finish off as anticipated. Trainer K Petrick was also of the same view. A veterinary examination of the mare revealed no apparent abnormalities.

I’M A DREAMER (A Sweeney) – Fractious in the barriers. Shifted outwards on jumping.
