Race 1: Four Leaf Clover Handicap 0-58 – 1300m
Stewards interviewed trainer C Pollard in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.
RISING FIRE (A Nicholls) – When questioned rider advised that his mount did not appreciate the kickback from the wet track when racing back in the field, but the gelding responded to his riding when presented with clear running on straightening and finished the race off strongly.
TO THE POINT (S Tsaikos) – Commenced awkwardly. Trainer C Baxter advised that the gelding will now spell.
PROKLISI (W Davis) – Cast the near hind plate in running.
GO BARNEY GO (A Sweeney) – Raced wide throughout.

Race 2: Ladbrokes Summer Sprint Series (Heat 8) Handicap – 1300m
Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.
YE HELLA (V Arnott) – Commenced awkwardly. Cast the near hind plate in running.
1ST SACCHARO 2ND SIAKAM 3RD DESERT DREAMER
Race 3: Shamrock Sprint 0-70 – 1200m
Stewards considered a protest lodged by S Logan, the rider of the second placed ZOUMIST against the winner POP MAGIC ridden by S Tsaikos alleging interference on straightening. It was established that near the 250m ZOUMIST attempted a run between MR HAVE A CHAT (J Hampson) which shifted out slightly and POP MAGIC that also shifted in at the same stage. ZOUMIST was steadied by the rider when disappointed for this run and taken outwards to secure clear running. The Stewards were not satisfied that the ground lost in this incident was greater than the 1 length margin between both runners at the finish in addition to considering the contribution from the shift by MR HAVE A CHAT, the protest was dismissed.
POP MAGIC (S Tsaikos) – Lay outwards through the middle stages. Rider changed his whip to the left hand near the 200m and back to the right hand leaving the 100m.
ZOUMIST (S Logan) – Impeded for a clear run and steadied near the 250m and then taken outwards to improve.
SWING WITH JUNIOR (E Lines) – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
CAPTAIN GEORGE (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly.
1ST POP MAGIC 2ND ZOUMIST 3RD SWING WITH JUNIOR
Race 4: Dublin Dash 0-58 – 1100m
COLOUR DE ROY (C Hunter) – After a request from trainer J Banks, Stewards permitted the withdrawal of the gelding at 1.02pm following heavy showers and a deterioration of the track condition after 8.00am.
OVERRULED (A Nicholls) – Commenced to buck shortly after start and was eased down. Trainer C Pollard was advised that the gelding must barrier trial satisfactorily prior to racing again.
MADAME ROMANOV (J Hampson) – Raced wide throughout.
ANGELIQUE (S Tsaikos) – Commenced awkwardly.
KIRAKAT (A Sweeney) – Cast the near fore plate in running.
MINISTER (V Arnott) – Dwelt at the start. Restrained outwards to avoid heels near the 1050m.
1ST PHAROAH MAGIC 2ND WOLF QUEEN 3RD ANGELIQUE
Race 5: Luck Of The Irish TROBIS Maiden Plate SW – 1000m
Stewards interviewed trainer C Pollard in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.
HADRIAN’S WALL (W Davis) – Fractious in the barriers and reared vertical dislodging the rider. The filly was declared a late scratching by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice at 4.38pm. Trainer P Cole was advised that the filly must barrier trial satisfactorily prior to racing again.
TOUGH CRITIC (A Nicholls) – Took fright at the incident above and reared behind the barriers dislodging the rider. After cantering back to the mounting enclosure, the entire was also declared a late scratching by order of the Stewards at 4.38pm. All bets placed on both runners were ordered to be refunded and the following deductions were applicable to successful bets placed prior to 4.38pm.

General – Jockey A Nicholls was transported to RDH for treatment to an injury to his right wrist.

Race 6: St Patrick’s Day Cup 0-76 – 1600m
Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.
SON OF BIELSKI (J Hampson) – Raced wide on straightening.
VALLABAR (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly.
BON’S PRIDE (V Arnott) – Raced wide throughout.
COMMAND KING (S Logan) – Raced wide on straightening.
NEW ENTERPRISE (W Davis) – Raced keenly rounding the first turn until near the 1100m. Steadied passing the 650m.
