TINTERN POWER (S Tsaikos) – Raced wide throughout and lay outwards rounding the home turn.
BARANI (J Hampson) – Commenced awkwardly and raced ungenerously in the middle stages.
CELINE (J Philpot) – Knuckled on jumping.
SHEPLIMENTS (D Stanley) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped with another runner shortly after jumping.
REAL DIVINE (P Denton) – Bumped with another runner shortly after jumping.

THE GIRL’S BOY (NZ) (P Crich) – Steadied after being crossed by another runner leaving the 1000m. Inclined to lay inwards under pressure from the 150m.
PARIAH CONVICTION (E Lines) – Commenced awkwardly.

Race 3: GALLAGHER INSURANCE BROKERS HANDICAP 3-Y-O BMNT 1200m
BEYOND READY (I Luximon) – When tested with the whip at the top of the straight, the gelding instantaneously shifted inwards resulting in another runner having to be restrained for a number of strides.
HEY BULL (S Logan) – Slow into stride and had to be restrained for a number of strides when tightened for room entering the home straight.
Correct weight for this event was delayed when the rider of the 3rd placegetter S Logan (HEY BULL) requested to view the Stewards patrol footage from the top of the straight. After viewing the footage, S Logan lodged a protest against the winner, BEYOND READY (I Luximon), alleging interference at the top of the straight. Evidence was taken from both riders, trainer K Lamprecht (BEYOND READY) and trainer P Gardner (HEY BULL). After considering all evidence, Stewards dismissed the protest and ordered all placings stand.

Race 4: ASTC LADIES DAY – SATURDAY 6TH APRIL – MAIDEN PLATE SET WEIGHTS 1100m
NICODEMUS declared a late scratching at 3:20pm on veterinary advice after sustaining superficial wounds to its head after rearing up in the barriers.
Trainer D Leech was advised that the gelding must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to again racing.
ANOTHER VAL (C Hunter) – Knuckled and bumped with another runner on jumping. After a disappointing performance, a veterinary examination revealed the gelding was suffering from a condition causing a skin irritation to the chest region which may have affected the performance. Trainer L Whittle was advised that prior to that gelding racing again, she must present a veterinary certificate clearance for the gelding to verify the condition has been treated satisfactory.
BRAVE FLING (S Logan) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
DANNY WHIZZBANG (E Lines) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner.
MACER’S RAZOR (S Tsaikos) – Raced wide throughout.

Race 5: TALICE SECURITY SERVICES HANDICAP BM76 1100m
EARLY CROW (A Maloney) – Raced wide throughout.
THROW AT DA STUMPS (P Denton) – Slow into stride. Rider advised that after being slow to begin, he got further back than he wanted and after improving into the race, steadied off heels and as a result, got off the bit and did not finish off the race as anticipated. A subsequent veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.
PERKOVA (D Stanley) – Commenced awkwardly.

Race 6: LADBROKES MATES MODE HANDICAP 0-64 1400m
STRIKE EAGLE (J Philpot) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Steadied off heels into the first turn and raced wide from the 1000m.
ZOUTELLUS (P Crich) – Commenced awkwardly.
MIRACOLI (J Hampson) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
L’ESPERANCE ROCK (S Logan) – Slow into stride. When questioned about the mares disappointing performance, rider advised that after commencing awkwardly and losing ground at the start, she rode her mount out vigorously in the early stages and the mare then began to race keenly having to be restrained off heels approaching the 1050m. Rider then continued to ride her mount along but the mare was under pressure from the 600m and yielded ground then on. Trainer reported that the mare had got down on its off side bumper in running.

Race 7: ASTC CUP WEEKEND – 6 & 7 HANDICAP 0-70 1600m
VENTING (P Denton) – Commenced awkwardly getting its head up. Held up for clear running from approximately the 450m to the 300m before having to steady inwards off heels to obtain clear running.
BOOM BOOM SWEET (P Crich) – Raced keenly in the early stages.
QUIZZLE (J Philpot) – Raced wide from the 600m.
PRINCESS PANCAKES (C Hunter) – Slow into stride.
