General: On inquiry, apprentice L Maloney in the presence of his master G Conner, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of AR131. The specifics of the charge being that he allowed his mount MENDOORAN to shift ground inwards approaching the1000m when insufficiently clear resulting in KIKUYU (P Denton) being taken inwards for a number of strides onto THE GIRLS BOY (D Stanley) resulting in KIKUYU’S rider having to take hold and lose ground. Apprentice L Maloney had his license to ride in races suspended for 1 NT meeting to expire midnight 3/2/2024. L Maloney was advised of his right of appeal.
