Following the running of this race, a number of riders expressed concerns regarding the visibility due to the continuing heavy rain and wet track conditions. In accordance with TRNT policy, the Stewards addressed the entire riding group and the majority voted that the poor visibility made the conditions unsafe to continue racing. Following this process, the Stewards called off the remainder of the race meeting. This decision was disseminated both on and off course.

Following consultation between the DTC and TRNT, the decision was made to call for fresh nominations and include the postponed races on the DTC race programme scheduled for Saturday 3 February, 2024.
