BEATIFICATION (S Logan) – Bumped at the start. Bumped by another runner over the concluding stages. Returned with a self-inflicted laceration to the off fore heel.
GUNSHOT GLITTER (S Tsaikos) – Shifted outwards under pressure over the concluding stages and bumped another runner.
SOLID ROCK (A Nicholls) – Rider reported his saddle shifted shortly after the start and he directed the gelding wider on the track and took no competitive part in the event.

Stewards interviewed trainer C Pollard in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.
COLOUR DE ROY (A Nicholls) – Bumped near the 650m. Raced wide throughout.
LUCKY DOG (E Lines) – Steadied from heels and mistrode leaving the 650m. Returned with a laceration to the off hind fetlock.
PRIDE OF LIMASSOL (J Hampson) – Fractious in the barriers prior to the start. Bumped at the start. Shifted inwards leaving the 700m and steadied from heels near the 650m. Trainer D Leech was advised that a warning is placed on the geldings’ barrier manners.
HEY LITTLE SISTER (A Sweeney) – Tightened for room and checked leaving the 700m.
APLOMADO (S Tsaikos) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped. Cast the near hind plate in running.
BIG FEELINGS (I Luximon) – Commenced awkwardly. Tightened for room and restrained leaving the 700m.
General – On inquiry apprentice jockey J Hampson (PRIDE OF LIMASSOL) pleaded guilty to a charge of engaging in careless riding under AR131(a). The specifics were that she permitted her mount to shift inwards when insufficiently clear leaving the 700m resulting in HEY LITTLE SISTER (A Sweeney) being tightened for room and checked and BIG FEELINGS (I Luximon) being tightened and restrained. Apprentice J Hampson had her permit to ride in races suspended for 1 NT meeting to expire after 16 December, 2023.
Jockey S Tsaikos (APLOMADO) also pleaded guilty to a charge of engaging in careless riding under AR131(a). The specifics being that he permitted his mount to shift inwards when insufficiently clear near the 650m resulting in LUCKY DOG (E Lines) having to be steadied and mistrode and then shifted out contributing to PRIDE OF LIMASSOL being steadied. Jockey S Tsaikos was suspended for 1 meeting (Launceston) to expire after 13 December, 2023.
