Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.
TO THE POINT (P Shiers) – Hampered and steadied near the 200m.
MUTANY (A Sweeney) – Commenced awkwardly and lost ground.
General – On inquiry apprentice I Luximom (GLOBAL WONDER) was reprimanded for careless riding under AR131(a) for allowing his mount to shift in when not fully clear near the 200m which was the major contributing factor for TO THE POINT (P Shiers) being hampered near the 200m.

ANKLE ROLEX (I Luximon) – Slow into stride and then carried inwards bumped heavily losing further ground.

PLAGUE STONE (E Lines) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.
TANAAWOL (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly.
VIRTUOUS MISS (A Sweeney) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped and then veered inwards bumping with another runner.
TAORMINA DUCHESS (P Shiers) – Carried inwards and checked at the start.
MISS EPERNAY (C Hunter) – Bumped and crowded at the start. Raced wide from the 600m.

Stewards interviewed trainer C Pollard in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.
MADAME ROMANOV (J Hampson) – reared in the barriers and sustained a laceration to the lip. The gelding subsequently declared a late scratching by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice at 5.07pm. Trainer T Halter was advised that a warning would be placed on the mare for this barrier behaviour. Trainer reported the mare will now be spelled.
All bets placed on the mare were refunded and the following deductions were applicable to successful bets placed prior to 5.07pm.
1st - 25c win, 14c place
2nd 20c place
3rd 21c place
Apprentice J Hampson was examined by the Paramedics and no significant injuries were diagnosed.
HELLO HOLLYWOOD (P Shiers) – Commenced to buck for a considerable distance from the 850m and took no further competitive part in the event. Rider expressed the opinion that his mount appeared to react adversely to the kickback. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer C Pollard was advised that the gelding must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again.
HEY LITTLE SISTER (S Tsakos) – The veterinarian reported the mare returned from the race with an elevated heart rate.
ROJO BOOM (A Sweeney) – Slow into stride.
