Race 1: GIRLS DECKED OUT NIGHT 21/11 MAIDEN PLATE. SET WEIGHTS. 1200m
HELLIVIT declared a late scratching at 3:25 on veterinary advice when the gelding appeared to be walking in an unusual gate in the mounting yard. Trainer subsequently advised that it was her belief that there may have been an issue with the girth pinching as once the saddle was removed, the gelding moved freely and no further action was required.
BLACK SHIRAZ (A Maloney) – Raced wide entering the home straight. Knuckled at the 300m after sustaining an injury to its near fore fetlock with the rider easing the gelding down. After a veterinary examination, the gelding was humanly euthanized.
BODMIN BOY (J Philpot) – Slow into stride bumping with another runner. Raced wide throughout.
FLASH FIORENTE (P Denton) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner. Shifted inwards off heels on straightening to obtain clear running.
IZ SHAFT (A Sweeney) – Commenced awkwardly.
MACER’S RAZOR(S Tsaikos) – Raced ungenerously in the early stages shifting outwards causing its rider to steady off heels.
PAKETTA (C Hunter) – Commenced awkwardly.

Stewards interviewed trainer T Gillett in relation to the instructions he intended to issue his riders bearing in mind he had multiple runners in this event.

TALENT QUEST (C Hunter) – Slow into stride bumping with another runner. Trainer W Savage was advised that prior to again starting in a race, it must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards after being reluctant to load causing the race to run 3 minutes late.
THREETIMESLUCKY (A Sweeney) – Taken inwards by another runner shortly after jumping having to steady off heels.
BOSS SHELBY (A Nicholls) – Tightened for room on jumping.
SUPERIOR POWER (P Denton) – Shifted inwards shortly after jumping. Rider reminded of his obligations to ensure he is clear of other runners when shifting ground.
