Race 1: TAB Same Race Multi 0-58 Handicap – 1300m

Stewards interviewed trainer C Pollard in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

RISING FIRE (S Logan) – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn until near the 200m.

BRAZILLIANT (J Todd) – Raced keenly between the 1000m and 700m.

PLAGUE STONE (E Lines) – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages when leading.

WYNTER LADY (A Lindsay) – Raced wide throughout.

MALIBU EDITION (C Hunter) – When questioned regarding the performance rider advised that the gelding was off the bit in running and failed to respond to her urgings. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer T Logan advised that he intends to vary his training regime with the gelding and would not start the gelding again in a race for at least four weeks.

Race 2: Ladbrokes 0-58 Handicap – 1300m

Stewards interviewed trainer C Pollard in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

HALOGEM (S Tsaikos) – The veterinarian confirmed the gelding bled from both nostrils in the preliminary and was subsequently declared a late scratching by order of the Stewards at 3.16pm. As this was the second occasion, trainer M Nyhan was advised that HALOGEM is now ineligible to start in any race in accordance with AR79(6).

All bets placed on the gelding were ordered to be refunded and the following deductions were applicable to successful bets placed prior to 3.16pm.

1st - 0c win, 1c place 2nd - 3c place 3rd – 11 place

BEACHHAVEN (V Arnott) – Slow into stride. Raced wide in running.

JIMMY’S SECRET (A Maloney) – Hampered at the start.

GELATA (A Lindsay) – Veered outwards at the start.

Race 3: BET 365 TROBIS C2 Handicap – 1200m

BLUFFED (M Salter) – Bumped and crowded shortly after the start.

MAGNETIC TYCOON (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly and then bumped and unbalanced shortly after the start.

RUBY RUBY RUBY (A Lindsay) – Raced wide throughout.

KIRAKAT (V Arnott) – Slow into stride. Shifted out under pressure near the 200m.

NEW ENTERPRISE (S Tsaikos) – Changed stride rounding the home turn and became unbalanced. Crowded leaving the 200m.

DISSMAGIC (C Hunter) – Bumped shortly after the start.

General – On inquiry it was established that near the 200m KIRAKAY (V Arnott) shifted out under pressure resulting in NEW ENTERPRISE (S Tsaikos) being crowded. Jockey V Arnott was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in future.

Race 4: Sportsbet BM76 Handicap – 1200m

Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

RISING SPHERE (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.

EL MAGNIFICENCE (E Lines) – Raced wide throughout.

AUTOCRATIC (S Tsaikos) – Carried inwardly slightly shortly after the start.

REBEL COUNTY (C Hunter) – Bumped at the start. Carried inwards shortly after the start and blundered from heels.

Race 5: Melbourne Cup Day 7th November 0-64 Handicap – 1100m

ANKLE ROLEX (M Salter) – Slow into stride. Raced wide throughout.

HARD TO EXCEL (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly and veered inwards at the start. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding lame in the off fore leg and have an elevated heart rate. Trainer G Clarke was advised that a veterinary clearance will be required for the gelding prior to racing again.

TOPPA THE MOUNTAIN (A Lindsay) – Bumped at the start.

SOUL SPIRIT (E Lines) – Raced wide throughout.

Race 6: Oktoberfest At The Bay 7th October 0-58 Handicap – 1000m

Stewards interviewed trainer C Pollard in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

RECKLESS BAY (M Salter) – was declared a late withdrawal at 4.43pm by order of the Stewards at the request of trainer P Johnston after the gelding became extremely fractious in the tie up stalls. Trainer P Johnston was advised that the gelding will be required to barrier trial prior to racing again.

HENESTROSA (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly

IRASRIBALE MISS (C Hunter) – Raced wide throughout.
