VEGA PRINCE (I Luximon) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. After a disappointing performance, a post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.

SHEPLIMENTS (A Lindsay) – Knuckled and bumped with another runner on jumping. Rider dropped her whip at the 300m.

Race 6: TALICE SECURITY SERVICES HANDICAP 0-64 1600m

QUIZZLE (J Philpot) – Fractious in the barriers. Over-raced into the first turn being restrained and shifting outwards to avoid the heels of another runner.

HUCKLEBERRY (I Luximon) – Slow into stride. Over-raced into the first turn being restrained off heels and getting its head up.

General: Stewards inquired into an incident at the first turn after HUCKLEBERRY (I Luximon) had to take hold off heels into the first turn. Evidence was taken from I Luximon and J Philpot (QUIZZLE). It was established that entering into the first turn, apprentice Luximon began to take hold of his mount as it was over-racing and in doing so the gelding was inclined to fight its rider getting its head up. Shortly after, QUIZZLE, on its inside, began to over-race with its rider having to take hold and shift outwards to avoid heels, inconveniencing HUCKLEBERRY which was still over-racing. Stewards accepted that both riders were having difficulties with their mounts over-racing into the turn and took no further action.
