Race 1: SBA Office National TROBIS 0-58 Handicap – 1300m

This start time of this race was delayed due to a gear adjustment on WHITTEN behind the barriers.

GO BARNEY GO (I Luximon) – Bounded at the start.

WHITTEN (W Davis) – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had an elevated heart rate.

Race 2: Vale Anne Dent BM54 Handicap – 1200m

ARCH OF TITAN (V Arnott) – Race wide throughout.

BRAZILLIANT (J Doyle) – Race wide throughout.

FIELD COMMANDER (J Todd) – The veterinarian reported the gelding required treatment after returning with ulcerated eyes.

Race 3: The Makrylos Group 0-64 Handicap – 1100m

At the request of SKY channel, the start time was amended to 4.15pm.

KENT STREET (V Arnott) – Race wide throughout.

TO THE POINT (P Shiers) – Commenced awkwardly and was slow into stride. Impeded at the 100m by another runner.

FIRST CRUSADE (S Tsaikos) – Dwelt at the start and lost several lengths.

LUCKY DOG (J Doyle) – Shifted ground outwards in the straight when tested with the whip. Apprentice J Doyle was shown the patrol films and was advised to show more care in future.

Race 4: Tschirpig Conveyancing C2 Handicap – 1000m

EXCEEDINGLY MAGIC (W Davis) – Declared a late scratching at 4:44pm by order of the Stewards after refusing to proceed to the barriers.

Trainer P Cole’s representative was advised that prior to again racing, the mare must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards.

All bets placed on the mare were ordered to be refunded and the following deductions were applicable to successful bets placed prior to 4.44pm.

1^st - 15c win, 6c place

Race 5: National Seniors Australia Top End Branch BM76 Handicap – 1000m

EXPERT WITNESS (P Shiers) – When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that he raced in restricted room between runners at the 600m and consequently his mount dropped the bit and lay outwards yielding ground from thereon. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have no abnormalities.
