From ASTC Meeting 12 August 2023 - Race 5 JOCKEY CELEBRATION DAY HANDICAP BM76 1600m
When questioned regarding the unplaced performance of BROAD OUTLOOK Tainer W Savage advised that in his opinion after securing the lead in the early stages the gelding was not suited to the fast pace then set by FAIR GO and as a result BROAD OUTLOOK was off the bit from the 1000m and yielded ground from the 600m. he reported the gelding had pulled up well following the event.

Race was put back 5 minutes due to a flight delay for Apprentice Jockey D Gillett.
JEN’S REWARD (D Gillett) – Raced wide throughout.
BOLD TROPIC (D Morgan) – Raced wide throughout. Race greenly under pressure in the straight.
REDENZO LAD (I Luximon) – Commenced awkwardly and dipped shortly after the start unbalancing the rider.
SUPERIOR POWER (H Le Blanc) - Fractious prior to the start.

THE CHAPLAIN (I Luximon) – Late scratching at 8.20am after its Trainer L Whittle advised stewards of an injury to its near hind leg. Trainer L Whittle was advised that the gelding will need a veterinary certificate prior to racing again.
SUPER FAMOUS (H Le Blanc) – Raced wide from the 600m.
ZELRING (A Maloney) – Bounded at the start.
NORSE MYTHOLOGY (J Doyle) – Reared at the start losing ground.
TOFFIATO (D Gillett) – Raced wide until the 600m.

Race 3: LADBROKE IT! HANDICAP 0-58 1100m
BOY BIG (D Gillett) – Raced wide throughout.
THE LAST CHARGE (J Doyle) – Underwent a veterinary check behind the barriers and was cleared to compete in the race. Shifted inwards approaching the 900m.
HEROIC SPIRIT (H Le Blanc) – After a disappointing performance, a post-race veterinary inspection revealed no abnormalities. Trainer advised the gelding will now be spelled.
CENTRE CIRCLE (S Tsaikos) – Carried inwards approaching the 900m.
LISA (I Luximon) – Carried inwards approaching the 900m.
DRAWN TO WIN (A Lindsay) – Resaddled behind the barriers. Race wide throughout.

TRYSTOFF (D Morgan) – Bumped at the start. Raced keenly and refusing to settle in the early stages.
MISS MIDUKI (S Tsaikos) – Bumped at the start.
FAIR GO (M Henderson) – Fractious prior to the start and commenced awkwardly.
I’M DUN DEELIN’ (H Le Blanc) – Bumped at the start. Dipped approaching the 1000m and then overreacted getting it’s head up when being steadied.

DOR DOR (D Morgan) – Underwent a veterinary examination on arriving at the barriers and found to be lame in the off hind leg and declared a late scratching at 3:38pm on veterinary advice.
As no book maker was in attendance, no deductions were applicable.
Trainer B Cooke was advised that the mare will need a veterinary certificate prior to racing again.
MUNSTER (A Lindsay) – Commenced awkwardly unbalancing the rider.
FANTASY EAGLE (I Luximon) – Bumped at the start.
BROAD OUTLOOK (H Le Blanc) – Bumped at the start. Raced wide throughout.
QUIZZLE (J Philpot) – Raced wide from the 1000m.
BOOGIE NIGHTS (L Maloney) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.
