As jockey S Wiseman was indisposed for medical reasons the following riding replacements were approved:

Race 1: Silks Darwin TROBIS Three-Year-Old BM68 Handicap – 1200m

ANKLE ROLEX (A Nicholls) – Commenced awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. Cast the off fore plate in running. The veterinarian reported the gelding was distressed and had the thumps following the event.

ATHLETICA (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.

LUCKY FORTUNA (E Lines) – Had a tendency to lay outwards leaving the 200m.

FULL DAMAGE (A Lindsay) – Bumped and crowded at the start.

Race 2: TRNT Off The Track 0-58 Handicap – 1200m

FRACTION LATE (A Lindsay) – Veered outwards abruptly over the concluding stages.

TYQUENDO (P Shiers) – Bumped between runners at the start.

PATRIOTIC KING (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly.

MINISTER (V Arnott) – Raced wide throughout.

SCOUT’S HONOUR (S Tsaikos) – Commenced awkwardly veering outwards and bumped with another runner unbalancing the rider.

THE ALBION (A Sweeney) – Mistrode and lost momentum on two occasions between the 700m and the 600m. Rider advised that in his opinion his mount had reacted adversely to the kickback. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

Race 3: Aspire Flying Sprint – 1100m

CITY REGAL (P Shiers) – Steadied passing the 600m when racing ungenerously negotiating the first turn.

CUDJERIE (A Nicholls) – Bounded at the start, unbalancing the rider and lost considerable ground. Rider advised that after being ridden along vigorously to rejoin the field the mare was consequently commenced to yield ground prior to straightening. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

MISTER MONARO (S Tsaikos) – Cast the off hind plate in running.

CHANGE IS COMING (J Todd) – When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that his mount was unsettled behind the barriers and proved difficult to load. He explained that although he was able to position outside the leader in running his mount was off the bit throughout and failed to finish the race off as anticipated in the straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have an elevated heart rate.

Race 4: Darwin Racing Maiden Plate – 1100m

HELLO HOLLYWOOD (C Hunter) – Crowded shortly after the start. Lay inwards under pressure in the straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding was lame in the near hind leg. Trainer C Pollard was advised that he must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.

BOOMERCONI (A Kennedy) – Veered outwards at the start and bumped.

GUNSHOT GLITTER (P Denton) – Bumped and crowded shortly after the start.

TOUGH CRITIC (D Gillett) – Carried outwards, crowded and bumped at the start. Checked to avoid heels near the 650m.

WHITTEN (W Davis) – Bumped at the start. Lay inwards in the early and middle stages.

GOLDEN RIDGE (V Arnott) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped and then checked off heels losing ground. Failed to muster early speed following this incident.

DAUNTING DECISION (J Todd) – When questioned rider advised that his mount raced ungenerously in the back straight and then failed to negotiate the first turn having to be checked severely after shifting across heels near the 650m and the filly then took no further competitive part in the race. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer G Clarke advised that the filly must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again.

HIDDEN PRINCESS (S Tsaikos) – Held tight when racing greenly passing the 650m.

SHEPLIMENTS (A Lindsay) – Raced wide throughout.

Race 5: TAB Bet Friends 0-66 Handicap – 1000m

REAL VALENTIA (I Luximon) declared a late scratching at 3.44pm on veterinary advice after rearing and becoming cast in the barriers. Trainer K Healy advised that a veterinary clearance is required and the gelding must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing.

All bets placed on the gelding were ordered to be refunded and the following deductions were applicable to successful bets placed prior to 3.44pm.

1st - 18c win, 12c place 2nd - 28c place

PATRIA (A Lindsay) – Raced wide throughout.

PLAGUE STONE (A Sweeney) – Steadied when racing keenly passing the 600m.

Race 6: Jim Drummond Memorial 0-70 Handicap – 1600m

LOVEPLANET (J Todd) – Shifted ground outwards under pressure over the final 100m.

HETTINGER (A Sweeney) – Steadied when racing keenly passing the 900m.

KOMACHI (C Hunter) – Scrambled at the start losing ground.

MAGNOLIA ROSE (P Denton) – Raced wide throughout.

Race 7: TAB Metric Mile – 1600m

THOUGHT OF THAT (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped. Shifted in and away from another runner and steadied near the 1400m. When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that his mount did not appreciate the kickback in the early stages and he elected to shift to the outside of the field after rounding the first turn. He explained that the gelding raced more tractably out of the kickback but was off the bit through the middle stages and commenced to yield ground prior to straightening. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

SANBLAS (A Nicholls) – Held up for clear running passing the 600m.

COMMAND KING (I Luximon) – Bumped at the start. Shifted ground outwards and contacted another runner near the 500m.

IRONEDGE (A Lindsay) – Bumped passing the 500m.

LETHAL ENCOUNTER (S Wiseman) – Slow into stride. Raced wide from the 600m.
