Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

KIKUYU (P Denton) – Rider reported that his mount was reluctant to stretch out and failed to respond to his urgings in the early and middle stages and in his opinion may have jarred up. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer K Petrick advised that she will monitor the gelding’s recovery and have a further veterinary check and then advise accordingly of her intentions.
