KARAOKE EXPRESS (P Shiers) – Cast the near hind plate in running.

BRAVE FLING (J Todd) – Raced wide from the 600m.

Race 2: Ladbrokes Summer Sprint Series (Heat 3) BMNT Handicap – 1300m

Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue as the stable had multiple runners in the event.

NOIR DE RUE (V Arnott) – was declared a late scratching at 1.42pm by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice after the gelding was found to have swelling to the off fore leg. Trainer J Manning advised that a veterinary clearance is required prior to the gelding racing again.

MEADOWS YOUNG BUCK (P Denton) – was declared a late scratching at 3.02pm by order of the Stewards after refusing to load into the barriers. Trainer P Cole advised that the gelding must barrier trial to the satisfactorily prior to racing again.

The following deductions were applicable to all successful bets placed prior to 3.02pm.

1^st - 4c win & 5c place, 2^nd - 8c place

LET’S SOLDIER ON (P Denton) – Crowded and bumped at the start.

LAYLAH’S WISH (E Lines) – Returned with a laceration to the outside of the off hind leg.

BEACHHAVEN (P Shiers) – Lay outwards through the middle stages.

NEW ROMAN (P Crich) – Raced wide throughout. Contacted with another runner at the 250m and bumped and unbalanced at the 200m.

VIRTUOUS MISS (S Wiseman) – Bumped another runner at the 250m and again at the 200m. Cast both front plates in running.

ZOUMIST (J Todd) – Raced wide on straightening.

Race 6: 2023 Great Northern Darwin Cup Carnival Tickets On Sale 0-64 Handicap – 1000m

MANLY COVE (J Todd) – Returned having bled from both nostrils. Trainer G Clarke was advised that as this was the second occasion, the gelding is ineligible to race again in accordance with AR79(6).

CANTON KID (J Hampson) – Raced wide on straightening.

LOCKDOWN SALLY (S Tsaikos) – Commenced awkwardly.
