MACKINAW (I Luximon) – Slow into stride and shortly after was tightened for room along the rails, causing its rider to restrain his mount for a number of strides.
DELAGO LAD (P Crich) – Commenced awkwardly.
General: On inquiry, it was established that on jumping, MACKINAW (I Luximon) in barrier one was slow into stride which allowed CITY JET (S Tsaikos) in barrier two to slowly roll inwards shortly after jumping. Whilst under hard riding, MACKINAW quickly gained speed up along the inside of CITY JET at the time it was beginning to roll inwards. Stewards were satisfied that CITY JET was clear when beginning the shift inwards and that MACKINAW gathered good speed quickly to its inside which caused its rider to take evasive action.
