AGAINST THE TIDE (S Tsaikos) – Raced wide throughout.
STAR OF MONSOON (A Nicholls) – Bumped and unbalanced at the 700m.
MAGIC REWARD (S Fawke) – Slow into stride.
DREAM WEAVER (C Hunter) – Lay inwards away from another runner leaving the 1000m and as a result bumped with another runner passing the 700m and yielded ground from thereon.
STROKE OF MAGIC (W Davis) – Fractious prior to the start.
PRINCESS DEJOUR (V Arnott) – Fractious prior to the start. Raced wide on straightening.

MAYAMEEN (A Nicholls) – When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised his mount failed to travel in running and raced in a flat manner. A post race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the near hind pastern and the mare had an elevated heart rate.
SACCHARO (W Davis) – Slow into stride.
BULL MARKET (S Fawke) – Cast the off fore plate in running.

Race 3: BP Auto Port Trobis Maiden Plate – 1200m
BOY BIG (A Nicholls) – Cast the off for plate in running.
CREATIVE CONTROL (P Shiers) – Raced wide throughout.
FISCHER (C Hunter) – Bounded at the start losing ground.
SIDEBERN (S Callow) – Carried outwards at the start and raced greenly in running.

DREAM CHANCE (C Hunter) – Returned having bled from both nostrils. Trainer C Pollard was advised of the provisions of AR79.
KEEN AS A BEAN (V Arnott) – Commenced awkwardly.
SAINT OLGA (S Fawke) – Raced wide throughout.
1ST CHIEF MONDO 2ND BAT PAD 3RD FAITH AND LOVE
Race 5: Fawcett Contracting 0-56 Handicap – 1000m
ROYAL TYKE (S Tsaikos) – Raced wide from the 700m. Cast the off hind plate in running.
AUTOCRATIC (S Wiseman) – Carried inwards and bumped at the start. Bumped at the 650m.
TESTINO (C Hunter) – Commenced awkwardly and veered inwards.
ASAHI BEARING (J Todd) – Crowded for room and checked at the 650m.
SMARTKAP (J Philpot) – Bumped at the start. Shifted outwards getting its head up near the 650m.
General – On inquiry it was established that when negotiating the 650m turn SMARTKAP (J Philpot) shifted outwards slightly resulting in AUTOCRATIC (S Wiseman) being bumped causing ASAHI BEARING (J Todd) to be crowded for room and checked. Stewards were satisfied on the evidence that no rider was at fault in this incident.

Race 6: KTF Contracting & Livestock Haulage 0-64 Handicap – 1600m
OBLIGATORY (P Shiers) – A plating change of bars all round was approved and disseminated.
YESUGEI (S Fawke) – Crowded approaching the 1500m.
CAPTAIN HEDDERWICK (J Todd) – Slow into stride.

OUR DESTRIER (S Tsaikos) – Steadied when over racing in the back straight and raced wide from the 700m.
BROTHER BASSY (S Callow) – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Returned with blood in the mouth.
