General – Following 3mm of rain the track rating was reclassified to Wet Fast at 1.45pm
Race 1: Maiden 1200m
Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in regards to the riding instructions he intended to issue bearing in mind the stable had all the runners in this event.
CAPTAIN OH (J Todd) – Lay inwards significantly in the back straight and consequently took no competitive part in the event. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have an elevated heart rate. Trainer G Clarke was advised the gelding must barrier to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again.
LEAKED (A Nicholls) – Bumped at the start. Cast the near fore plate in running.
IT’S PINS (W Davis) – Underwent a veterinary examination at the barriers and was cleared to compete. Fractious prior to the start.
POINTO’S PICK (S Wiseman) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.
SMART VISION (V Arnott) – Bumped and crowded at the start.
ZIP LANE (P Shiers) – Commenced awkwardly.
CASSATT (S Tsaikos) – Commenced awkwardly.

POWER RUSH (W Davis) – Shifted ground outwards under pressure approaching the 100m.
MANAAJIM (J Todd) – The veterinarian reported the mare returned from the event with a broken tooth.

VELA (S Wiseman) – Commenced awkwardly. Raced in restricted room between runners near the 900m.
LIGHT AND DARK (V Arnott) – Bounded at the start.
CHILLI BEAN (J Todd) – Raced in restricted room and eased near the 700m.
NORTHERN FACTOR (C Hunter) – Bounded at the start. Raced wide from the 700m.

MIGHTY MURT – was declared a late scratching at 1.57pm by order of the Stewards following the gelding being identified with swelling to the near fore leg due to a stable mishap.

EXPERT WITNESS (C Hunter) – Raced wide throughout.

COUNT OF ESSEX (C Hunter) – Commenced awkwardly and veered outwards at the start.
