KAPTAN APOLLO (S Tsaikos) – Steadied outwards from heels to improve near the 600m.

General – Jockey S Tsaikos (KAPTAN APOLLO) pleaded guilty to a charge under AR131(b) in that he failed to ride his mount out to the end of the race. In issuing a fine of $750, Stewards were satisfied that as he stopped riding 4 strides from the finish and that this had cost his mount the opportunity to finish 3rd in the event.

Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in regards to the riding instructions he intended to issue bearing in mind the stable had all the runners in this event.
