TOFFIATO declared a late scratching at 1:27pm on veterinary advice after the trainer reported blood in the nostril of the gelding after a mishap in the truck on route to the race course.
As no book maker was on course, no deductions were applicable.
WAYANKA (W Kerford) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Raced wide throughout and bumped with another runner at the top of the straight.
MAUDY (P Denton) – Commenced awkwardly.
MILES PROWER (J Philpot) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Steadied off heels at the 600m when shifting inwards and bumped again with another runner at the top of the straight when laying inwards under pressure.

BAR GEM (J Philpot) – Stood flat-footed as the start was effected and lost some ground and raced wide throughout.
LIDO BEACH (W Kerford) – Inclined to lay inwards under pressure down the length of the straight.
PANDEIA (S Wiseman) – Commenced awkwardly.
DECISIVE HEART (C Hunter) – Commenced awkwardly.

SIX SHILLINGS (L Miller) – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have cardiac arrhythmia. Trainer D Leech was advised that the gelding must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards and a veterinary clearance (including the results of an ECG) must be presented prior to racing again.
SOMERVELL (W Davis) – Knuckled on jumping almost dislodging its rider.
SHOULDAPUTARINGONIT (S Wiseman) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
INTERCONTINENTAL (J Phipot) – Reared as the gates opened bumping with another runner then commenced to race wide throughout.

ELON (L Miller) – Knuckled on jumping. Rider dropped whip at the 200m.
MILITARY ROAD (I Luximon) – Inclined to lay inwards under pressure down the length of the straight causing its rider to stop riding and straighten on several occasions.
MORPHLING (J Philpot) – Hung outwards for the majority of the event causing its rider difficulties in controlling the mare. Trainer G Connor was advised that prior to the mare again starting in a race, it must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a more tractable manner.
CLEESE (W Kerford) – Stood flat-footed as the start was effected and lost some ground.
