KEEN AS A BEAN (V Arnott) – refused to load into the barriers and was subsequently withdrawn by order of the Stewards at 4.14pm. The following deductions were applicable:

Trainer J Manning’s representative was advised that the mare must barrier trail to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again.
MR BOOMJANGLES (P Shiers) – Shifted outwards to improve and bumped another runner at the 150m.
POWER RUSH (C Hunter) – Raced wide throughout.
RED’S MATE (S Wiseman) – Slow into stride.
EXTOLMENT (S Tsaikos) – Bumped at the start. Bumped at the 150m.
VEXATIOUS BOY (J Philpot) – Bumped at the start.
LEAKED (W Davis) – Cast the near fore plate in running.

FAMILJA (W Davis) – Bumped at the start.
EL SICARIO (V Arnott) – Shifted out marginally when being ridden along near the 550m and bumped another runner becoming unbalanced. Cast the off hind plate in running.
SON OF UTRED (J Todd) – Rider reported his mount resented the kickback and when hard ridden was under pressure leaving the 600m and yielded ground in the straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had returned with a wound to the off fore cannon.
NOBLE WAR (P Shiers) – Bumped at the start. Raced wide throughout.
TOORAK ROAD (B Huppatz) – Bumped on the hindquarter by another runner and unbalanced near the 550m.
