POLICY (M Henderson) declared a late scratching at 2:46pm after the gelding took charge of its rider and galloped a circuit of the course.
As no book maker was on course, no deductions were applicable.

DIVISIONAL (L Crow) – Dipped shortly after jumping.

DAKOTA LEE (P Denton) – Commenced awkwardly and dwelt losing some ground.

Following this event, M Henderson was stood down from his remaining rides on the advice of paramedics after an examination found he was suffering from heat exhaustion.
As a result the following scratching were approved at 4:20pm as no other riders were available.
