General – Stewards inquired into the reason for PEMBROKE CASTLE (P Shiers) suffering interference passing the 850m when racing to the inside of TARDIS (C Hunter). It was established that TARDIS had commenced to lay inwards from the 1000m and when yielding ground and despite the efforts of the rider, shifted marginally near the 850m when racing slightly in advance of PEMBROKE CASTLE. Jockey P Shiers stated that there was no contact between both runners in this incident but that his mount reacted adversely and baulked at TARDIS and he became unbalanced and as a result he had to check his mount losing considerable ground. The evidence of both riders was supported by the patrol vision and Stewards took no further action was taken over this incident.
