Stewards interviewed trainer L Whittle in regards to the instructions she intended to issue her riders bearing in mind she had multiple runners in this event.
MATHEMATICS (P Denton) – Rider reminded of his obligations to ride his mounts out to the finish.
SILENT ICE (L Crow) – Slow into stride and raced wide throughout. Inclined to lay inwards under pressure down the length of the straight.

EAGLE RIDGE (J Philpot) – Raced wide throughout.
HEART OF RED (T Townsend) – Commenced awkwardly.
ZEDUKI (P Denton) – Slow into stride.
THE AMAZING TAHLIA (C Hunter) – Commenced awkwardly and inclined to lay inwards under pressure from the 100m.

KING CRAB (J Philpot) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner.
FUTURE DREAMS (T Townsend) – Slow into stride bumping with another runner and commenced to race wide thereafter. Stewards questioned rider regarding her ride after jumping from barrier one and veering outwards shortly after to race wide throughout. T Townsend advised that the gelding resented kickback. As the gelding raced wide from the start of the race, no kickback was evident and Stewards did not accept that explanation and she was advised not to ride in a manner that was open for question.
