General: J Lyon replaced D Tourneur as the rider of RHYTHMICAL after that rider was delayed coming from the airport.
SILENT ICE (L Crow) – Held up for clear running at the 150m having to steady off heels.
BRAZILLIANT (B Huppatz) – Bumped with another runner at the 600m. Lay outwards rounding the home turn.
HATTAN MAN (V Arnott) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
ANOTHER BIT (A Nicholls) – Commenced awkwardly.
MILES PROWER (J Philpot) – Commenced a little awkwardly bumping with another runner. Steadied off heels at the 600m when racing forward.
RAWTEKK (J Maskiell) – Crowded for room at the 600m bumping with another runner and brushing the running rail.

Trainer D Leech was interviewed in regards to the riding instructions he intended to issue to his riders bearing in mind he had multiple runners in this event.
RADIO ROOM (J Philpot) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and raced wide into the first turn.
EXONERATE (J Todd) – Knuckled on jumping and inclined to lay inwards under pressure down the length of the straight.
TIGER TRAP (P Hall) – Raced wide throughout.
BULL MARKET (D Tourneur) – Slow into stride bumping with another runner.
ZAP (A Nicholls) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.

Race 7: Gillen Club Queen Of the Desert Handicap 1200m
HOPE YA DON’T MIND (A Nicholls) – Commenced awkwardly striking its rider in the face. Rider advised that the mare travelled well in the early stages but from the 600m was reluctant to stretch out and began to yield ground. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.

Correct weight for this race was delayed after Stewards reviewed the start of the race.
General: Stewards permitted the late withdrawal of GOLDEN DICE at 9:02am after trainer D Leech reported that the gelding was lame in front. When interviewed he advised that the gelding had exercised prior to 7:00am without issue but when taken out of its yard at 9:00am the gelding was short in its action in front. A veterinary examination confirmed the gelding was not fit to race.

MUSHAIREB (M Aitken) – After a disappointing performance, a veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.
