Race 1 Gap View Hotel Maiden Plate 1200 metres
SNAPPY TIME (T Gillett) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner. Shifted inwards approaching the 650m.
CORNERS CAN BE CUT (C Johnson) – Slow into stride and inclined to race greenly in the early stages of the event.
KUMMERLINGS (L Crow) – Commenced awkwardly getting its head up and bumping with another runner.
SATIN ROAD (M Hagley) – Raced greenly in the early stages shifting outwards. Restrained at the 650m when tightened for room and lost ground.
General – On inquiry jockey T Gillett was found guilty of a charge under AR137(a) for careless riding. The specifics of the charge being that he allowed his mount to shift ground inwards approaching the 650m when insufficiently clear resulting in SATIN GROUND (M Hagley) being tightened for room, having to restrain her mount and losing ground. T Gillett had his licence to ride in races suspended to expire midnight the 23rd November. (1NT meeting). Jockey Gillett was advised of his right of appeal.
Race 2: Mercure Alice Springs Resort Handicap 1200 metres
Stewards interviewed trainer G Connor in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue his riders bearing in mind he had multiple runners in this event.
DANCING POETESS ($10.30) was withdrawn by order of the Stewards at 3:27pm after refusing to load.
With no bookmaker on course Stewards were not required to announce betting deductions.
LE COMMANDANT (D Morgan) – Knuckled on jumping. Bumped with another runner at the 650m.
SNOWTROOPER (J Todd) – Dipped on jumping.
WINGARD’S MARK (T Gillett) – Inclined to lay outwards heading into the first turn and bumping with another runner at the 650m.
Race 3: TDC Refrigeration Handicap 1100 metres
Stewards interviewed trainer L Whittle in relation to the riding instructions she intended to issue her riders bearing in mind she had multiple runners in this event.
NIC NAC (D Morgan) – Knuckled on jumping and raced wide throughout with no cover. Inclined to lay inwards under pressure from the 200m.
MAGNUS BAY (C Johnson) – Dwelt at the start and raced wide throughout with no cover.
BLAZING BULLET (J Todd) – Slow into stride
PRINCESS LEAH (M Hagley) – Knuckled on jumping.
Race 4: Gallagher Insurance Handicap 1600 metres
W Kerford replaced C Johnson in this event after C Johnson was found to be over-weight.
DOON BUGGY (M Hagley) – When questioned as to the disappointing performance, rider reported that the slow speed of the race did not suit the gelding and could not go with them once the speed quickened.
PLANET EARTH (L Crow) – Slow into stride. Steadied into the first turn when momentarily tightened for room.
COPERNICUS (B Huppatz) – Commenced awkwardly unbalancing its rider.
General: Stewards placed an embargo on jockey C Johnsons minimum riding weight to 56.5 in which he may not accept rides under that weight until he can satisfy the Stewards that he can comfortably maintain a lighter weight.
Race 5: Ladbrokes INFO HUB Handicap 1400 metres
CERUTTY (C Johnson) – Commenced a little awkwardly bumping with another runner and bumped heavily again shortly after.
DANOXIE (J Todd) – Steadied off heels into the first turn.
OUR TICKETS (L Crow) – Inclined to shift inwards under pressure from the 150m.
SAARLAY (S Wiseman) – Mistrode at the 650m momentarily unbalancing its rider.
DREAM PASSENGER (B Huppatz) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and bumped heavily again shortly after.
