PANDEIA (J Philpot) – Fractious in barriers. Rider requested a veterinary examination of the mare which was subsequently passed fit to start.
CAITLINS ANGEL (J Keating) – Bumped and taken inwards at the start.
CELTIC BELLE (P Denton) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner.
SCHILLERTIN (J Lyon) – Dwelt on jumping.
VALENCIANO (J Todd) – Underwent a veterinary examination on arriving at the barriers after striking the running rail on route to the barriers and was cleared to start.
DONE RIGHT (C Hunter) – Raced wide throughout.

THE CAPTAIN (J Todd) – Rider reported that the gelding travelled well in running but failed to let down when asked and did not finish of as anticipated. A veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.
SYMPHONETTE (P Denton) – Slow into stride.

COLLIVER (P Denton) – Commenced awkwardly.
HEART OF RED (S Tsaikos) – Inclined to lay inwards under pressure over the concluding stages.

ASH GREY (S Tsaikos) – Began to yield ground from the 600m. When questioned, the rider reported that the gelding felt unusually agitated on the way to the barriers and was not suited to the fast tempo of the race. He was further of the view that the gelding may have choked down in running. A veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities. Trainer T Gillett subsequently advised that in his opinion, the gelding resented the kickback racing inside runners along the rails which is not where the gelding likes to be.

EXONERATE (W Davis) – After a disappointing performance, the rider reported that the gelding travelled competitively in the early stages and worked well into the race at the 600m before being under immediate pressure at the top of the straight and yielding ground from there in. A veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities.
BULL MARKET (J Todd) – Bumped with another runner on jumping.
LADY SATAB (J Philpot) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and was momentarily held up for clear running at the top of the straight.
KING CRAB (L Crow) – Commenced awkwardly.
