DEEP SEEDED (W Davis) – Lay outwards through the middle stages when racing ungenerously.
UNDERWORLD (J Todd) – Fractious prior to the start. Commenced awkwardly and lost ground.
PRINCESS DEJOUR (V Arnott) – Raced wide throughout.

KOWLOON KID (K Gladwin) – Subsequent to the event the stable advised the gelding was lame in the near fore. A veterinary clearance will be required prior to racing again.
1ST CHOICE APPROACH 2ND WITH PLEASURE 3RD HIGHLY DECORATED
Race 3: 0-58 1100m
CAPTAIN HEDDERWICK (J Todd) – Steadied passing the 800m. Rider reported his mount had raced below expectations and got its tongue over the bit in running. Trainer G Clarke advised that he would apply a tongue tie to the gelding for its next start.
CUBAN MINT (V Arnott) – Slow into stride.
DON’T SAY IT (J Lyon) - Lay outwards in running and wide throughout. A post race veterinary examination revealed an elevated heart rate. Trainer G Lefoe subsequently reported that the filly was lame in the near stifle upon return to the stables. A veterinary clearance will be required prior to the filly racing again.

Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in regards to his riding instructions as his stable had multiple runners in the event.

Stewards interviewed trainer N Bruggemann in regards to her riding instructions as her stable had multiple runners in the event.
EL DESPERADO (J Lyon) – Following the unplaced performance rider advised that his mount was reluctant to stretch out in the early and middle stages. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near hind leg. A veterinary clearance will be required prior to the gelding racing again.
