BRUTAL POWERS (C Hunter) – Fractious in the barriers and commenced awkwardly.
PREEMPTIVE (T Treichel) – Commenced awkwardly getting its head up and bumping with another runner. Raced wide throughout.
SAMIYOMAR (W Kerford) – Inclined to shift outwards under pressure from the 150m.
GRANDE CASTAGNO (R Vigar) – Ridden hard early to secure the lead.
NINE CIRCLES (A Lindsay) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and raced wide throughout.

Race 2: Gillen Club Handicap 1000m
SOLDIEROFTHEBRAVE (J Todd) – Slow into stride. After a disappointing performance, a veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities. Trainer S Westover advised that he was not disappointed with the gelding’s performance today as they went too quick for him over the 1000m and the gelding is better suited over 1200m.
RAWTEKK (W Kerford) – Slow away and raced wide throughout.
NORDIC ECLIPSE (D Morgan) – Inclined to lay outwards under pressure down the length of the straight.

Race 3: Ladbrokes Back Yourself Handicap CL2
MODERNAS ARROW (L Crow) – Bumped with another runner on jumping. Steadied off heels at the 750m when racing forward.
DONE RIGHT (C Hunter) – Fractious in the barriers and commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner. Commenced to race wide from the 650m.
CURTAIN CALL (A Lindsay) – Commenced awkwardly bumping with another runner.
HAYDEN WILL DO (J Todd) – Began to yield ground from the 800m finishing a distance last. A subsequent veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities. Stewards questioned trainer R Taylor in relation to concerns they had with the geldings on going poor performances in its races, and in particular today when beaten 80 lengths behind the winner. Ms Taylor advised that she had only had the gelding for a short period of time and could offer no explanation for todays or its previous start poor performances. Stewards advised that the gelding would be required to barrier trial in a competitive manner prior to again starting in a race. Ms Taylor advised that she intended to retire the gelding from racing.

WHITWORTH (A Lindsay) – Momentarily inconvenienced for room into the first turn and commenced to lay out shortly after. Mistrode at the 1100m after bumping with another runner.
QUE PASA (C Hunter) – Bumped with another runner on jumping and again at the 1100m.
