FRILLY DESIGN (B Davis) – When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that his mount was under pressure on straightening after leading and in his opinion raced in a flat manner and may have not been suited to backing up after racing on the 27 July, 2019. Race 5: 0-62 1000m
As the field was being loaded the barrier starting mechanism malfunctioned and the gates opened prematurely. After being quickly restrained all effected runners were examined by the Club veterinarian and cleared to compete. The barrier problem was identified as being caused by a fault in the hydraulics. After testing the barriers on 2 occasions the starter made the decision to use the manual starting procedure for the remainder of the programme. These delays resulted in this race commencing approximately 7 minutes after the advertised start time.
TORNADO OF SOULS (P Shiers) – Crowded at the start. Raced wide throughout.

JOLLY BOY (M Tyndall) – Commenced awkwardly.
