Stewards interviewed trainer G Lefoe (jnr) regarding the riding instructions he intended to issue as his stable had multiple runners in the event.
ALLSPICE (S Wiseman) – Raced wide throughout.
TOFFIATO (R Vigar) – Commenced awkwardly. Crowded for room and impeded near the 200m.
PUNCHEON JOURNEY (B Davis) – Raced wide throughout. Impeded from heels after laying out leaving the 200m.
MIGHTY TAX (M Tyndall) – Raced wide throughout and compounded from the 600m. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off hind leg. Trainer P Cole was advised that he must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.
General – On inquiry jockey K Gladwin (BUCK’S ROW) was reprimanded for engaging in careless riding under AR131(a) for allowing his mount to shift inwards when not clear resulting in TOFFIATO (R Vigar) being crowded for room and impeded. In arriving at this decision Stewards took into account the low level of interference.

THE TICKETMAN (M Tyndall) – Slow into stride. Returned having bled from both nostrils. As this was the first occasion the gelding had bled trainer C Pollard was advised of the provisions of AR79.

Race 3: Sprint 1100m
Stewards interviewed trainer G Lefoe (jnr) regarding the riding instructions he intended to issue as his stable had multiple runners in the event.
SUPER BRYAN (K Gladwin) – Raced wide throughout. Cast the off hind plate in running.
LIVE FAST (P Denton) – Bumped outwards at the start.
ALASSAK (V Arnott) – Bumped and crowded at the start.
I’M TOO HOT (B Davis) – A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Following the unplaced performance trainer G Clarke advised that as the gelding recovered well it will race over a decreased distance at it’s next start.
TORCHBEARER (W Davis) – Veered outwards and bumped at the start.

Race 4: Maiden 1100m
BEERMINT (J Todd) – Slow into stride.
DEADIDIC (V Arnott) – Bumped at the start. After being eased down in the straight a veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be shin sore in both front legs. Trainer G Lefoe (jnr) reported that the gelding would have a lengthy spell. He was advised that the gelding must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again
PRINCESS MARIBEL (R Vigar) – Bumped at the start.
HEADBELLS (C Caserta) – Raced wide in running and was under pressure from the 600m. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
1ST MADAM ST CLAIR 2ND DUNKIRK 3RD AGGRESSION
Race 5: 0-66 1100m
THE HUMMEL (B Davis) was declared a late scratching at 3.56pm by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice after the gelding sustained an injury to the off hind leg behind the barriers. Stewards ordered all bets placed on THE HUMMEL to be refunded with the following deductions applicable to all successful bets placed prior to 3.56pm –
EASTWOOD 13c win 12c place
SO STOIC 9c place
EVIL DREAMS 15c place
Trainer K Lamprecht was advised that he must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.
TORANADO SOULS (P Shiers) – Lay outwards and steadied across heels at the 600m.
MORE CHILLI (S Wiseman) – Raced wide throughout.

IHTSAHYMN (P Hall) – Cast the near fore and off hind plates in running.
EMBLEY (P Denton) – A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off hind leg. Trainer K Petrick was advised that she must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.
STANLEY (M Aitken) – Raced wide from the 500m.
DAWN RAID (J Todd) – Raced keenly in the middle stages due to the moderate pace.
REIBY THE RED ( M Murphy) – Raced wide throughout.
SKY PUNCH (C Caserta) – Raced keenly in the middle stages.

PATRIA (B Davis) – Raced wide throughout.
I AM THE FOX (C Spry) – A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

Summary
Swab samples were taken from all winners and (R6) LOTION. Pre race samples were taken from NICCOCO, ALASSAK, I’M TOO HOT, NICANTELLYA, FIRING EQUIANO, MADAM ST CLAIR, TORNADO OF SOULS, EASTWOOD and all runners engaged in race 6.
