Stewards interviewed trainer N Dyer in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue bearing in mind his stable had multiple runners in this event.
KYD ROCK (S Wiseman) – Bumped at the start.
MULK (C Spry) – Bounded at the start.
LATEST BENTLEY (R Vigar) – Bounded at the start. Impeded for clear running from leaving the 300m until taken outwards across heels approaching the 100m.
TOFFIATO (D Morgan) – Raced wide from the 700m. Lay inwards in the early stages of the straight.
RUTHS BOY (M Aitken) – Bumped and crowded between runners at the start. Held up for clear running passing the 500m.
ULARARA (W Davis) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped at the start, losing ground.
EDENHOPE (V Arnott) – Raced wide throughout.

MANGELS (K Gladwin) – Rider reported that as his mount was having its first start on the track it had resented the kickback through the middle stages.
IT’S MAGIC (J Todd) – Raced wide in the early stages and after shifting across to the rail near the 700m resented the kickback through the middle stages and raced ungenerously until entering the home straight.
AWESOME MO (M Hart) – Raced wide from the 600m.

NIC NAC (D Morgan) – Improved into restricted room leaving the 700m and as a result was steadied near the 600m.
FEDERAL COURT (J Todd) – Commenced with its head up and lost ground.
JUNIOR BURGER (R Vigar) – Raced wide rom the 700m.

ICEFLOW (P Shiers) – Raced wide throughout. Cast both hind plates in running.
ARCTIC SONG (R Vigar) – Scrambled at the start and was slow to muster early speed.
MARBEL DUKE (K Gladwin) – Raced wide throughout.
BROOKLYN (M Hart) – Commenced awkwardly unbalancing its rider. In this incident the rider struck his left shoulder on the barrier petition and he was subsequently examined by the Paramedics following the event.
