LOOKING FOR YOU (J Todd) – Dipped at the start.
DESXIRI (K Gladwin) – Bumped at the start.
CEDAR FALLS (V Arnott) – When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that her mount was off the bit in running and despite her efforts failed to travel into the race as anticipated.
DANOXIE (R Vigar) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.
QUICKER THAN SLICK (S Wiseman) – Had a tendency to lay inwards under pressure in the straight.
Race 2: 0-64 1200m
1ST - MY SNIP 2ND - MACON COUNTY 3RD - LINDWALL
Stewards interviewed dual licensee C Spry in relation the riding instructions as his stable had multiple runners in this event.
MAVERICKS (C Spry) – Rider reported his mount failed to stretch out in running. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have returned with an elevated heart rate.
LETS CLEBRATE (K Gladwin) – Bounded at the start and then crowded shorty after.
Race 3: Class 2 1200m
1ST - BLACK HAZE 2ND - MADAME DUPORTH 3RD – AMIGO MIO
BON AIRE (C Spry) was declared a late withdrawal at 4.57pm as the gelding refused to be loaded into the barriers. Stewards ordered that all bets wagered on BON AIRE were to be refunded with the following betting deductions applicable to all successful wagers.
BLACK HAZE 9c win 10c place
MADAME DUPORTH 10c place
AMIGO MIO 12c place
Dual licensee C Spry was advised that the gelding must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again.
MADAME DUPORTH (P Denton) – Returned with a laceration inside the right nostril.
AMIGO MIO (M Hart) – Resaddled behind the barriers. Lay inwards when racing keenly near the 1000m.
OUR GREAT NORTHERN (J Todd) – Failed to commence with the field and then veered inwards losing considerable ground and consequently raced further back than anticipated. Rider advised that he was of the opinion that his mount had over relaxed in the barriers as a result of the delay due to the late scratching of another runner and after losing ground at the start also failed to muster early speed despite his urgings. Whilst accepting the riders’ comments, Stewards did advise trainer P Cole that a warning will now be placed on the gelding and should this occur again further action may be taken.
HARRY HELLRAISER (R Vigar) – Bumped at the start. Commenced to hang inwards in the back straight and placed its rider at a disadvantage through the middle stages and consequently yielded ground. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer G Lefoe was advised that the gelding must barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again.
General – Jockey B Huppatz reported that he had been struck in the eye by a dirt clod during the race and after being examined by the Paramedics he was declared unfit to fulfil his remaining riding engagements. He must produce a medical clearance prior to riding again.

1ST – MAKIN’ THE GRADE 2ND – ALITAKA 3RD - ROSHERVILLE
Stewards interviewed trainer G Clarke in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue bearing in mind his stable had multiple runners in this event.
MOORE ALPHA (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly.
ROSHERVILLE (C Spry) Steadied when racing keenly rounding the first turn due to the moderate pace.
TACITURN (K Gladwin) – Bounded at the start. Raced keenly getting is head up rounding the first turn due to the moderate pace. Raced wide throughout.
ALITAKA (S Wiseman) – Commenced awkwardly. Steadied rounding the first turn.
SUNSET STAR (V Arnott) – Yielded ground from the 600m.
