TERRITORY TITAN (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly. Raced wide from the 600m.
ROCKMEARTIE (B Huppatz) – Raced wide throughout.
OUR BARTY (P Denton) – Bounded at the start.
Race 2: 0-70 1300m
BAKSLAP (R Vigar) – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and then impeded from heels near the 250m.
LOUPPY BEND (B Huppatz) – Rider was advised to exercise more care in future circumstances after allowing his mount to shift inwards near the 300m causing another runner to be impeded. Returned having bled from both nostrils. As this was the second time the gelding has bled it is now ineligible to race in accordance with AR53A(5).
MARBEL DUKE (K Gladwin) – Cast the off hind plate in running.
DELTA D’OR (M Hart) – Raced wide throughout.
THE WILD SIDE (J Todd) – The mare underwent a veterinary examination behind the barriers and was cleared to compete. Veered inwards at the start.
KAPTAN APOLLO (C Spry) – Lay outwards through the middle stages.
EVIL DREAMS (P Denton) – Momentarily impeded when under pressure near the 300m.
Race 3: BM54 1200m
Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue bearing in mind his stable had multiple runners in this event.
MY SNIP (J Todd) – Shifted ground outwards under pressure in the straight.
HELL OFA GOOD SORT (P Crich) – Bumped at the start. Lay outwards approaching the 700m and as a result was steadied from heels.
QICKER THAN SLICK (S Wiseman) – Bumped at the start and again shortly after.
SUNSET STAR (R Vigar) – Slow into stride and then bumped shortly after. Raced wide throughout.
Race 4: 0-64 1100m
SPRINTING TO WIN (B Huppatz) – Lay outwards rounding the first turn.
Race 5: 0-58
MACON COUNTY (V Arnott) – Bumped at the start.
TIGER TRAP (S Wiseman) – Bumped at the start. Crowded for room and steadied at the 700m.
FORT NECESSITY (P Crich) – Bumped with another runner at the 650m.
HATTAN MAN (R Vigar) – Bumped at the start.
MOTOMIC (K Gladwin) – Bumped at the start. Steadied at the 700m.
BLACK HAZE (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly.
MISS ZELDA (M Tyndall) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped. Bumped and buffeted between runners at the 650m.
General – On inquiry jockey M Hart (ANSINNA) was reprimanded under AR137(a) for careless riding for allowing his mount to shift inwards when not clear near the 700m resulting in TIGER TRAP (S Wiseman) being crowded for room and steadied.
Summary
All jockeys were breath tested for the presence of alcohol prior to riding.
Swab samples were taken from all winners. Pre race samples were taken from SPRINTING TO WIN, DANOXIE, EVIL DREAMS, KAPTAN APOLLO, ANSINNA & FORT NECESSITY.
