Stewards interviewed trainer P Cole in relation to his riding instructions as his stable had multiple runners in this event.

AMIGO MIO (F Bergstrand) – Cast the near hind plate in running. Prior to loading the rider requested her mount to be resaddled.

BORLUNG (P Denton) – Raced wide throughout.

MOUSSAMBANI (R Oakford) – Kicked by another runner in the barriers and after undergoing a veterinary examination was found to be lame in the off fore and declared a late scratching at 2.37pm by order of the Stewards.

ASHSTAR (W Davis) – Fractious and slipped over in the barriers underwent a veterinary examination and was found to be lame in the off fore and declared a late scratching at 2.37pm by order of the Stewards. Trainer P Cole was advised that a warning would be placed on mare in relation to its barrier manners.

OUR GREAT NORTHERN (J Todd) – During incidents in the barriers whilst loading, this gelding was inadvertently left unattended by barrier staff and got loose and after being recaptured, underwent a veterinary examination and cleared to compete.

All monies wagered on ASHSTAR & MOUSSAMBANI were ordered to be refunded and the following deductions were applicable to all successful bets placed prior to 2.37pm.

LADY ALCATRAZ (B Davis) – When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that his mount had travelled comfortably in running but was under pressure on straightening and yielded ground from thereon. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer G Clarke advised that the mare was showing signs of being in season.

GAMORA (R Oakford) - Wide throughout.

OMINOUS WARNING (C Spry) – Fractious prior to the start.

DESXIRI (M Hagley) - Compounded at the 200m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. When questioned regarding the unplaced performance Trainer G Clarke could not offer any explanation.

ROEBUCK (J Todd) – Stood flat footed at the start.

WAWRINKA (R Vigar) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped another runner.

VIA MAZZINI (B Huppatz) – Raced wide throughout.

Race 3: 0-76 1100m

THE CAPTAIN (B Davis) – Compounded and lost ground from the 300m. When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised he had been instructed to race prominently but his mount had not been able to finish the race off due to the fast pace and in his opinion is more suited to racing over an increased distance.

CULZEAN (R Vigar) – Commenced awkwardly.

I AM THE FOX (M Hagley) – Trainer C Conron reported to the Stewards when he arrived on course the gelding was involved in a float mishap on the way to the races and after undergoing a veterinary examination was passed fit to race.

QUANTUM DOT (P Denton) – Bumped with another runner at the start.

TUSCARORA (V Arnott) – Wide throughout.

Race 4: BM54 1100m

Stewards interviewed dual licence holder (trainer/jockey) C Spry in relation to his riding instructions as he had 2 runners in this event.

PLANET AMERICA (W Davis) – Raced wide throughout.

COMBAT WARRIOR (R Vigar) – Raced wide throughout.

WHAT A STRYKER (M Hagley) – Commenced awkwardly and lost ground.

Race 5: 0-58 1600m

BON AIRE (C Spry) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped with another runner. Commenced to race keenly shortly after the start and as a result got its head in the air when being steadied approaching the 1400m.

STRATEGIC JEUNY (J Todd) - Bumped with another runner at the start.

LARRICONI (W Davis) – Crowded at the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

SNOWY BLACK (B Davis) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped with another runner.

WINDFOLA (M Hagley) – Raced wide throughout.

GERONIMOS SON (R Vigar) – Commenced awkwardly and veered outwards abruptly bumping another runner.

CROWN REWARDS (B Huppatz) – Bumped between runners and inconvenienced at the start.
