METALLIC CROWN (B Davis) – was declared a late scratching at 9.00am when the gelding was identified as being lame in the near fore. Trainer G Clarke was advised that he must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.
NICCOCO (P Shiers) – When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that his mount was under pressure prior to straightening and failed to finish the race off as anticipated. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near hind leg. Trainer G Lefoe was advised that he must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.
NEUSCHWANSTEIN (R Oakford) – Commenced awkwardly. Rider advised that his mount felt amiss in its action following the race. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near fore leg. Trainer S Lawler was advised that she must present a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to racing again.
Race 2: CL2 1200m
.RESTLESS (S Wiseman) – Bumped at the start.
ZIMZALA (B Davis) – Bumped at the start. When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that his mount was off the bit in running and consequently yielded ground in the straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be making an abnormal external respiratory noise. Trainer G Clarke advised that the gelding would undergo an endoscopic examination and he would advise Stewards accordingly of the results.
MY SNIP (J Todd) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.
CAN LA (W Davis) – Bumped and unbalanced at the start.
CHOICE APPROACH (P Crich) - Commenced awkwardly and bumped. Raced wide throughout.
Race 3: 0-64 1200m
Trainer G Clarke was interviewed in relation to the riding instructions he intended to issue bearing in mind his stable had multiple runners in this event.
OMINOUS WARNING (R Oakford) – Fractious prior to the start. Stewards deemed the gelding to have been denied a fair start when as the barriers opened the gelding had its head in the adjoining stall and was denied the opportunity to commence with the field. Acting under the provision of AR134A(c) Stewards declared the gelding a non runner. Stewards ordered that all bets placed on the gelding be refunded and all successful winning bets placed prior to the start time of 4.27pm were subject to the following deductions:

FOXY LULU (P Crich) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped.

Jockey R Oakford was granted permission to ride LARRICONI 0.5kg overweight as there was no rider available but at the weigh out was able to make the allotted weight.
ABLE KEN (P Denton) – Raced wide on straightening.
