Warning regarding the use of the feed supplement MetaboLize
Trainers should be aware that the feed supplement MetaboLize has been linked to recent cases in Australia involving the detection of caffeine in a race day sample. A photograph of this product is provided for your information.
Whilst the manufacturer has notified a Principal Racing Authority that the raw materials in MetaboLize do not contain caffeine, they are reviewing a possible contamination from a November 2024 production run. Certain batches have been identified to possibly contain levels of caffeine which will likely cause a positive sample and potential ramifications to a horse’s placing and sanctions being imposed against the trainer.
