Overview
Ruth Hanssen brings 15 years of experience in riding and training horses to the TRNT Off The Track program. She has coached her daughter to high-level show jumping, traveling around Australia for competitions. Currently, Ruth is competing in Novice Dressage and is working towards the Elementary level. Her expertise extends to re-training Off The Track Thoroughbreds, having successfully re-trained four, for her own competition purposes.
Ruth has dedicated the past 15 years to coaching, with a strong focus on Thoroughbreds. She has been involved in running clinics and equine education programs, conducting coaching workshops and ‘Coach the Coach’ clinics and assessments over the past decade. Ruth’s experience includes private coaching at her property, hosting clinics with Pony Club NT, and running clinics with interstate coaches. Additionally, Ruth volunteers as a coach for children at Pony Club.
Her qualifications include being a Level 1 Accredited Pony Club Coach for the past eight years, a Diploma in Equitation Science, and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Ruth Hanssen is a seasoned equine educator whose dedication and extensive qualifications make her an excellent choice for Thoroughbred owners looking to enhance their skills through the TRNT Off The Track Education Grant.
